I saw Journey & Def Leppard a couple months ago. I was surprised to realize that Journey was the weaker part of the show. Def Leppard sounded great, but Journey’s instruments were too loud and completely overpowered the lyrics (maybe their sound guys just had an off night)

I was going to get Christmas lights up today...but it’s currently 30 degrees and misting with temps to fall all day. I’ll just stay inside

Never cared for the Troy rivalry because initially when we first started playing, it felt like a manufactured rivalry. The medi tried to sell it as a Junior Iron Bowl for the little guys, which caused ever fiber of my body to rebel against. I suppose it has developed into somewhat of a rivalry more naturally but in football only because both fan bases think the other is beneath them

I went to the Nick last week, first time in years. $8/apiece. Had fun AND came out alive.

As usual Brother 58-56 has the post of the year

It makes your program look bush league? You have a 135-160-2 record all-time and no bowl wins. You've been bush league for a very long time. 05-stirthepot

You think Troy wants to play UAB in a bowl game? No no. We'd much rather play a better brand. In the bowl threads on TroyFans.com and the Sun Belt board, only one person has mentioned wanting to play UAB in a bowl game.

We don't want a lowly CUSA or MAC school...

Agreed, NO bowl should be for a 3rd or 4th place year.

I never want our guys to play in the Bham bowl,....I say never, but if we're 6-6 and they offer, then yeah..

We saw Elton John in Huntsville in 2015 and it was awesome. I swear he made eye contact with everyone in the first 20 rows.

Wow. Bet that was a helluva show.

Went to see Eagles of Death Metal at Iron City, just a few weeks before the attack on their concert in Paris. Best show I've ever seen for $25.

Birmingham Bowl is kinda like AB said about the NO Bowl, that's for a non-championship season. If we're 6-6 or 7-5 and matched up against Ole Miss or Memphis, could be a nice home opponent for the fans.

Yes, yes it was. All the original members, mid tour, so they were all on their A game, I think my ears are still ringing from that one.

I really thought the smack talk would be more impressive than this...

Too focused on MTSU and winning a championship so we're really not at Liberty to talk right now.

This isn't a smack board. You intruded on other peoples' conversation like some lugubrious drunk at the next table in a restaurant, and now you're upset that they don't want to play with you

You played though. It's just that your smack attempts... well, suck.

Journey is burying Arnel's vocals on purpose because he's blowing his throat out, like all the other Journey singers have done with that material. They've been playing some of it in lower keys for him for years. He was having trouble on that tour so they hid him in the mix some.

Def Leppard is a great live show.

Journey could hire Hugo from Voyage, but I'm sure Steve Perry would sue them.

Pineda has done a pretty good job for Journey. Whoever has taken over the top spot for Foreigner the last several years has not.

Not nearly as bad as having Tuscaloosa in control of the life or death of a football program.

If Bama found Troy to be any kind of a threat, they would find a way to shut Troy down too
