Game Week: Hub City Classic (MBB)
I just deleted a whole post. 03-banghead

I didn't realize that our games vs. Drexel and Goshen as well as Boston U and Rutgers are all part of the same Hub City Classic.

BU beat a good Northeastern team (who we also play), and are shooting 40% from three as a team to start the season (4 games). This could be a tough one. They seem like a pretty big team too, as their top 6 scorers are all between 6'5 and 6'9.

Hopefully there are no lingering effects from the Duke game, and we come out aggressive. We desperately need Minnie to find his offensive flow, which will open everything up for Jackson and the bigs. And hopefully Murphy has learned his lesson about playing Thompson and Toure together, but I doubt it. Let's get the W.

Sam is right. Saturday will be a big test. Let's hope the team we expected to see this season walks out on the court, otherwise we may be handed a 2nd loss.

FWIW, I know of BU's leading scorer, Tyler Scanlon. I watched him play AAU ball one summer with a local kid i know well. Sat with his mom one of the games. I actually suggested him to our staff.

He is a SF who can shoot the 3-ball. Leading scorer this year. Don't know if he is quick enough to play in the MAC, but who knows. He might be successful in his conference but might have some problems in a conference with quicker players.

Will be fascinating to see how he does vs. Us.
