Gonna be interesting to see how Charleston does vs Oklahoma State today. Could be a good barometer for where we stand with the class of the caa

He already flashed a jump hook a few games ago. Maybe vs ECU?
It looked smooth and something he will need when playing CAA bigs with more length and hops.

I am more concerned about his defense. He struggles tremendously there and you can’t hide him when Phillips is not playing. Fortunately, the CAA is a guard league and only a few teams have good offensive bigs.

the ability of Banks AND Lewis to be able to defend guards or swingman is huge as well and a key component for this team.

yes, the turnovers and decision making needs improvement. With the other skills sets these guys have, if those attributes were perfect too, I doubt they'd be at JMU.

They are both emerging superstars in this league. The deficiencies are correctable.

Very true. A JMU is going to get good players.......but they all have some wart(s). Too short, too heavy, too light, too slow, can't shoot...whatever. I like to watch Clayton Ritters, zero to hero.

This is why Wilson is one of my favorites. A 6'7" 270 post player that is not fat is hard to land. Wilson was a little on the squishy side as a freshman and plays under the rim but he is so damn big that he can claim whatever space on the court he wants (under the rim) and he showed us he will get into shape. I hope Wilson can become a JMU Ben Wallace, 14 rebounds and 12 points from just being directly under the basket 100% all the time.

If Wilson likes points he should be working on a jump hook. He could be a 16 point average if he can develop a consistent high release hook shot.

There are lots of big guys in college hoops.

What sets Wilson’s ceiling high is he has soft hands, not hands of stone like many big guys.

He will be a force as he improves and stays I shape.

By the way, he’s 8 for 9 at the foul line so far this year.
