Announcers of LSU game didn't hurt Penny's recruiting
I loved the fact the announcers gave Memphis plenty of credit last night and really railed on about the 3 former NBA players on the coaching staff and how attractive that is. A future Tiger recruit watching that game had to have noticed that and how it may positively affect their chances. Way to go Dane Bradshaw and Co. Bradshaw was a heck of a player himself. Any thoughts on this fact? As for me, I'll take all the compliments the road announcers want to throw U of M, Penny and the staff's way.

One thing I also noticed, EVERY stoppage in play, EVERY tv timeout all cameras were focused on one and only one man in the building....

Yeah, Dane has a pretty good history on Memphis hoops considering he went to WSHS. Plus Dorsey gave him a nice formal introduction with his elbow back in the day.

Bradshaw was a real competitor and could really rebound considering he could barely get his arms over his head with shoulder problems. I think he is about 6'4''.

I said during the game, kids wanting the nba ticket should be knocking Penny's door down, because he plays a nba style game. Another words the only bad shot is the open shot u don't take

Yes, undersized but effective. He would have been loved as a Tiger

GP had Dane Bradshaw on for interview Wednesday (day after game) and they discussed Dane playing the 4. Dane was humble and said they started him at the 2 but wasn't fast enough so they moved him to the 3 then the 4 until they found opponents slow enough for him to guard. Bottom line is he was scrappy enough to maintain down low. That small line-up for Pearl's Vols faired well in SEC. It wasn't the strongest conference but it had Florida winning back to back championships at that time. GP mentioned him up against Horford and Noah. But all the teams in SEC had size. I imagine he was always oversized. You need a guy with a motor that doesn't quit in that case. Said it before and I'll say it again, if he's on your team he's scrappy but if he's on the opponent he plays dirty. Everyone loves having a scrappy player who plays his a$$ off for 40 minutes....as long as he's on your team.
