Is James Wiseman down low. We have great guards but need that 7 footer down low. I thought overrall good game against LSU and excited to watch Tyler Harris this season

We could have won this game if played at a neutral court; or if it were our home game. Great outing against a t25 team, and our guys played well. And we were always in the game.
A few tweaks, we will be okay.
Of course, with Wiseman down low next year, we will be rocking.
Go Tigers.

This loss might help Wiseman commit to us. We are obviously a long, strong, active big man away from top 25.
I hope LSU makes a lotta noise in the sec.

LSU will make a lot of noise...They are talented....As for Memphis, we NEED Dandrige as well as Jeffries, more athleticism than what we have for sure and Maurice can stretch the floor....He's NOT a TRUE post presence

Agree...Jeffries and Dandridge will help a lot...wish Martin had another year to play with that help down low. If we somehow can add Wiseman to that mix....look out.

3 out of Cal's last 4 seasons here we weren't great on the road early...

I remember Lofton embarrassing us one year in Knoxville

This is not a terrible loss but it also shows or team has serious holes (rebounding) which likely lead to some head scratcher performances

Needs to pack on some pounds first. He would've got bullied around in the paint.

I see Parks JR as the missing piece. He had 9 and 6 in 15 minutes. If he plays 28 minutes, at that rate, it’s around 16 and 11.

You also have to subtract Davenport, Martin, Parks, Thornton and Brewton. (Some of those are a much bigger deal than others)

True but then adding back the experience the guards will get in their sophomore Junior and senior years plus add in the experience that Jeffries, Dandridge, and Watford will acquire and you see the reason a guy might get excited. The only one out of the incoming crew that is one and done is Wiseman in my opinion. That makes all the difference. And that is just this year's expected recruiting class.:-)

And let's not forget what a years experience has done for the seniors on this team. We were barely beating, and I mean barely, third-tier teams at the beginning of the year.

Needrebounding. Several times I'd see three Rigers looking at the ball, but only 1 going after it.
They also need to start going after the 50-50's more too.

Agreed. I expected it to get pretty ugly, and they never let it get to that point. They kept scrapping back.

One of the biggest takeaways was the fact that they minimized LSU's runs.
