RE: 2018 ACC Bowl Projections
No way the Hokies fall out of tier one. They travel well enough to jump most teams in league. Bowls only have a somewhat correlated relationship to merit. They're about money first and foremost. It just so happens that the teams that do best tend to, but not always, be the most lucrative.

RE: 2018 ACC Bowl Projections
The only teams that really stand out are Clemson, Syracuse, and maybe NC State (IF they beat ECU). After that it's a non-descript bunch of 7-5 and 6-6 teams anyway.

Well, most of the bowl projections seem to have Cincinnati playing either BC, VT, GT, Miami or Duke in the Military Bowl or possibly the Independence Bowl. Should be an easy win for you, with us being in the AAC and all. 03-wink Hope to see whomever in Washington DC or Shreveport.

Duke has two wins against current AP Top 25: Northwestern and Army. Duke is the only ACC team able to do that outside the conference.

Yet Wake Forest motor-boated them by a gadzillian points last week

Teams change over the season

RE: 2018 ACC Bowl Projections
I still think the ACC will send a team to Dallas instead of Gasperilla. ACC/Swofford prefers not to play Pre-Christmas bowls as a primary tie-in. Birmingham is conditional, so less likely to worry about that being Pre-Christmas.

It will be interesting what the Bowl Line up looks like in 2019-2025. I could see the ACC attempt to have 11 full tie-ins. Citrus is conditional based on Big 10 going to Orange. Wonder if that changes some way in the next cycle?

Kinda of surprising, looks like the Gator is taking the ACC this year. Meaning Music City is locked next year. https://www.newsobserver.com/sports/arti...38890.html

All according to plan. Miami is on the board. The Gator will take them.

RE: 2018 ACC Bowl Projections
Per Joe Giglo: @jwgiglio

Camping World - NC State
Belk - Virginia
Pinstripe - Syracuse
Sun - Pitt
Gator -Miami
Military - VT
Indy - Boston College
Quick Lane - Georgia Tech
Heart Of Dallas- Duke
Gasparilla - Wake Forest

Per Joe Giglo...Georgia Tech has no Shot at Military or higher....

If VT loses, maybe Pitt ends up in Military and BC goes Sun, Syracuse Pinstripe. There's always a scenario with the ACC

I hear rumblings the Belk might take Georgia Tech to pair against Auburn. I'd go to see that.

Deacon Nation just retweeted the Yellow Pad.... Stating:

This yellow pad is the most reliable source for info on likely bowl matchups for ACC teams. It has Wake going to Tampa (but note the pencil ️ versus pen)Deacon Nation added,

I have only heard that from GT Fans... Yes I would go also... But it is looking like we know why Coach Paul Johnson is retiring so Quick!

There's no question about it. Joe Giglio's yellowpad is by far the best source of ACC bowl matchup info. He's not just speculating. He goes to the trouble of being in close actual contact with the ADs, football coaches and conference officials who have real knowledge.

If the Belk Bowl picks Cavman over GT again then it's official: GT will never ever play in the Belk Bowl unless the Belk Bowl has literally no choice.

I would have no qualms sending UVA to Detroit and GT to the Belk Bowl.
