I would have no qualms sending UVA to Detroit and GT to the Belk Bowl.

Not looking good.

This yellow pad is the most reliable source for info on likely bowl matchups for ACC teams. It has Wake going to Tampa (but note the pencil ️ versus pen)Deacon Nation added,

The only thing that does not make sense, CUSA/ACC has a tie-in with either Gasparilla or First Responder. CUSA is not short of teams, so I don't see how an ACC team can go to both.

They can't (unless ESPN cuts a deal)...understandingly I'm new to ACC bowl game politics. Is this Gigilo guy a NC4 mouthpiece or truly connected for spots for all 14 teams?

Actually he is pretty good. I can see logistically how it could work, but it would be using conditional tie-ins to make this happen by the ACC and American to make it happen on paper. More or less using contract wording to allow this to happen. Meaning a CUSA vs ACC Dallas bowl, ACC being used as a conditional backup to Gasparilla and AAC filling an Indy slot as a Conditional forgoing the Gasparilla.

Side note, since Gasparilla has moved to Tampa, I could see it try to become like Camping World if it can increase it's payout with a better sponsor. Most people are too young to remember when Camping World was Miami Second Bowl.

RE: 2018 ACC Bowl Projections
Per Joe Giglio @jwgiglio
- If Pitt gets blown out tonight, they will drop out of Tier I. Respectable effort will keep them In either Sun or Pinstripe
- Wake Forest will be in Tampa for Gasparilla Bowl
- How does this change if VT loses to Marshall in front of friends and family today in Blacksburg? Duke will go to the Military
- Shreveport feels about right for another Georgia Tech sendoff

That was a rough loss.... up by 16 in the second half to lose that way, CJP may be right behind CPJ if he can not get the ship going in the right direction.

He struck out in recruiting. Spectacularly. At least Memphis is helping pay for this failure. He should get no extensions. And the search to replace him should begin if it hasn't already.

RE: 2018 ACC Bowl Projections
Georgia Tech's hall of fame football coach is retiring after taking second place in the Coastal.... Georgia Tech vs Auburn is a matchup that will draw and Belk, Music/Gator needs to be the location.... anything else is just the ACC and networks crapping on Coach Paul Johnson.... While GA Southern and Navy wanted him back it appears the ACC is telling him with this bowl selection.... Tier II bowls... GET the **** out and do not let the door hit you on the rear or Tier I thanks for what you did door is open for a ACCN job we are greatful for what you did at Georgia Tech...

I guess we will find out soon enough!!
