RE: WAC basketball week 2
SEATTLE U TAKES DOWN IN-STATE HIGH MAJOR WASHINGTON STATE!!

Great game, despite WSU missing Frank's what a win for the Redhawks. Terrell Brown once again comes up huge and seals the game while Myles Carter storms back from what looked like a season ending leg injury to block a shot and have two dunks in a row right after coming back in. Carter once again looked like the best player on the floor and at this rate, Myles Carter is going to win WAC POY.

Huge night and a great time to be a Redhawk!!!!

Seattle defeats Washington State 78-69 in a home game in Kent. Good win over a power conference school. St. Mary’s knocks off NMSU in Las Cruces 73-58. Disappointing, but SMC has a good basketball program. CBU is currently the only unbeaten team in the WAC.

Great win! I do hope Carter is okay. Even after going back in he was playing with a noticeable limp and did not seem to move as well. Carter certainly looked like a men among boys out there!

It was more of a neutral site game really. Most WSU students and alumni live in Western Washington and apparently it was pretty split 50/50 in fans of each school. Big win none the less

My heart sank seeing him roll around on the floor in pain. Thinking it would be season ending and I got flashbacks of Deshaun Sunderhaus. Hopefully he misses limited to no time but he needs to be healthy for WAC play. He's clearly our best player and is going to give Lever a run for his money for best WAC post player

I said before the game at St. Mary's will tell us a lot about where NMSU is at and it showed some glaring issues. We lack size. The McCants injury has proven to be a bigger loss than I thought. Chuha is not good on either end of the floor. Dude is soft. Our outside shooting is horrid. We don't have anybody that is stepping up other than Aurrecochea which brings me to another thing I didn't like. Jans is playing too many players so there is no chemistry or cohesive unit. It looked like a free for all out there.

Excellent. Unfortunately, posters on this board told us WSU was a joke and that a win against them would mean nothing. From your reaction (and I agree with you) it appears that it was a big win indeed.

The irony in this sentence really cracks me up:

"Myles Carter storms back from what looked like a season ending leg injury to block a shot and have two dunks in a row right after coming back in."

I've never seen an injury look so serious that ended up being nothing lol. Maybe he was just cramping really bad but he was rolling around smacking the floor with his hand. But he will be fine after some tests were done today and won't miss any time. As of now he'd be the biggest loss we could have on this team.

WSU is probably the worst high major but still a high major. They likely will have their best player Robert Franks back for the NMSU game but even then I still expect the Aggies to win by a similar margin SU did.

I stand by my WSU is a terrible basketball team and SU beat them without WSU's best player playing who is a 17 ppg and 7rpg post player.

I think Seattle Vandals is allowing the fact that its a Pac-12 school losing to SU.

WSU is the Chicago St of P5 schools.

Washington State basketball has struggled over the years, but they are still a power conference school with resources that most mid-majors do not have. They have a $5 million dollar basketball budget. Being in the Pac-12 gives them an advantage in recruiting over a WAC school.

Last season, they beat a good Oregon team, they swept Cal (the current worst team in the Pac-12)and won the Wooden Legacy Championship, defeating St. Joseph's, St. Mary's and Sand Diego State. Not having Franks hurt, but it is still a good win for Seattle.

Tulsa beats CBU 82-79 in Tulsa. The game was tight, with no team leading by more than five points in the second half. The game was tied at 79 with 1:13 left, but CBU went cold over the last minute.

There goes CBU's undefeated season. :)
Looking at the box score I noticed that Jordan Heading had an awful shooting night (3-15 from the field with 1-11 from 3pt land). Heading is perhaps their best player so it is impressive they only lost by three on the road at Tulsa. Looks like they are going to be a team to reckon with once WAC play starts.

Jordan Heading is a pretty good players but he is a bit leg heavy on defense. There are a few point guards in the WAC he will have trouble defending. From what I can tell Washington State transfer Milan Acquaah is the best player on the CBU team. I will say, CBU has made the transition to D1 look easier than expect.

Aggies win! Game was a little closer than it should have been due to free throw shooting (as per usual...).

Nice Job to the Runners! Damn shame the Roos couldn't win. Here's hoping the rest of the WAC can win out until conference play.

The Aggie fans are laughing at the supposed best team in the state claims that UNM is better than NMSU. Four in a row!

Yah, they won a close one, I'm amazed.
Sarcastic because I see them in their same old pattern lately (last few years) of not being able to hold/finish close games. Hoping they can figure that out sooner than later.
