Really didn't see anything we couldn't defend. They dont move or cut much. Maybe they played down but that being said Reid is really good. Maybe he will have freshman hiccups playing us.

With Parks back at least we got a little more meat on the inside to help defend.

Naz Reid is big and athletic. This is the most film of his I've watched. His footwork and positioning is poor. He has a lot of work to do on his footwork. He's making a living off of being bigger and quicker than competition. He could be taken advantage of. He could also be placed in foul trouble. I'm less scared now. Curious to watch him in a year or 2 to see what Will Wade has done with him too.

Yeah he doesn't have a drop step so you can sit on his strong side in the post - problem is he doesn't make his living in the post, he has a strong face up game and you have to close out on him beyond the 3 pt line where his perimeter footwork is very good for a player his size (has a little euro, strong spin into dunk/floater, catches ball in position to attack closeout). If he can show the perimeter skills are real and doesn't turn the ball over too much there won't be a year or 2 more of him at LSU.

LSU expanding their recruiting nationally, grabbing a 5 star like Reid from New Jersey of all places

The FBI says LSU is recruiting nationally at a high level.

Will be a tough game. Going to have to play really well to win.
They beat us last year at home.
We added a top 30 class and they added a top 5 class and we are on the road.

Much more perimeter play in this video. He's great at creating offense for himself. Such a big body to be so agile up top. Kinda like Blake Griffin. I'll be curious to see who we use on him and how we defend.
Lot of raw talent in this one. Both teams prefer to run and use their athleticism. Wonder if we'll do anything to try to slow it down a bit.

We need to run and risk more pummeling than might result from a slower pace. Building a brand is paramount.

Yep. When 5-stars from New Jersey and Florida suddenly decide to go to Baton Rouge, there is usually a reason. Will Wade is Easterwood's buddy, but pretty obvious Wade is cheating and LSU has been cheating. Not too long ago, Wade would have been suspended pending a 3rd party investigation. Now, LSU waits for the NCAA to contact them.
From the FBI/Adidas trial, Wade got caught on an audio with Christian Dawkins, one of the guys convicted last month: https://www.nola.com/lsu/2018/10/lsu-coa...eport.html
The transcript, from ESPN:
"So you said to me in Atlanta there was a 2019 kid I wanted to recruit, they can get him to LSU, you would have funded," Dawkins told Wade, according to Donnelly. "Would you want Balsa?"
"Oh, the big kid?" Wade asked.
"Yeah," Dawkins confirmed.
“OK. But there’s other (expletive) involved in it,” Wade said. “I have got to shut my door ... Here’s my thing: I can get you what you need, but it’s got to work.”
That phone call was on June 19th, on June 21st Koprivica tweeted that he had received a scholarship offer from LSU. Love it that in the middle of the call, Wade says he has to shut his door.
Last February, Pat Forde and Pete Thamel from Yahoo reported LSU was involved in payments to a couple of players: https://sports.yahoo.com/exclusive-feder...38484.html
"Back in February, Yahoo Sports released a report in reference to former NBA agent Andy Miller’s bank records.
Those bank records indicated that former LSU basketball player Tim Quarterman received $16,000 while he was a junior at LSU. In addition to Quarterman’s payment, former LSU basketball player Jarell Martin also allegedly received $52,000 from Miller’s firm."
