How about from NIU just once? Since when do TV announcers mention High School over and over with no mention of the college they attended?

This has happened more than once with NIU players who went to HS in Chicago.

How did he play? I saw he was targeted 13x but only had six receptions.

Listened to the game on radio. Joniak did the same thing and mentioned St Rita every time Kenny made a play.

Are we being oversentative & NIU homers here? If Golladay went to a Big Ten school would they have mentioned the college or still only St Rita? I think we know the answer.

Id have more of an issue with the player not saying NIU. Who gives a **** what the announcers say?

Honestly, I think it was mentioned that way due to the fact that they were actually playing in Chicago. It was specific to his playing in his hometown.

Last time I checked the Bears are from Chicago. The game was in Chicago. St. Rita is in Chicago. NIU is in DeKalb which is 65 miles away.

On the radio, they mentioned he was from NIU first, and then Rita!

Game is in Chicago guys, not a big deal, take it easy.

Just think about how Memphis felt every time they introduced D. Rose all those years.

Well Rose didn't actually pass the ACT, someone else did and I'm not sure he actually went to classes for more than 1 semester since he was a 1 and done.

Yeah I think you guys read too much into this for those who were offended by not mentioning NIU. Its a Chicago story, not an NIU story. Now I would have been offended if I was a WMU fan every time Jennings mentioned his high school during MNF and SNF games instead of WMU

Golladay has already mentioned NIU on SNF and will probably do so for years to come. Wasn’t the headline yesterday because his playing at NIU doesn’t make him a local kid as much as playing at St. Rita’s does.

Memphis is lucky they didn't wind up on probation because of D Rose.

Yea I was waiting for them to mention that he played at NIU but they kept mentioning St. Rita's. But they were playing in Chicago, so I assumed that was the reason.
