I was expecting a 50 points plus win for Duke but they might get close to 70 or 80 points win if things continue this way.

Agreed on both counts. Murphy’s insistence on playing Toure and Thompson together will be the downfall of this team.

We threw in the towel about 5 minutes into this game. Terrible effort and terrible preparation. I wasn’t expecting a competitive game, but I was hoping for a better effort than this. We don’t want to be there.

Agreed, such poor management by Murphy. It is making both players worse. Both too slow to play a wing on the zone, and both want to clog the middle on the other end. It doesn’t work.

Murphy tried playing Thompson at the 4 previously and pulled the plug before the end of non-conference games, correct? In 2016-17?

Hopefully he does so again.

Ellison looks much more confident this year. He has great vision when he gets into the lane.

Thats about the only positive I got from tonight.

The reserves played better than the starters tonight. I agree, Toure needs to back up Thompson at the center position. Paul Jackson was nervous the entire game, almost all shots AND passes seemed to drop short of the target and he was flat footed on a few occasions as well.
