Honolulu, Hawaii — The North Texas basketball team claimed the 2018 Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic with a 68-51 win late Sunday night over Hawaii.

The Mean Green (4-0) won all three games in the classic in route to the title and with the win they improve to 4-0 for the first time since 1990.

Junior guard Ryan Woolridge was the classic's MVP. He played all 40 minutes on Sunday and finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists. It comes a day after he dropped 22 points against Portland in a 78-73 win.

Freshman guard Umoja Gibson and sophomore forward Zachary Simmons were also named to the all-tournament team.

That was fun to watch last night, despite the 10pm cst start. REALLY wish we were done with the D2's on the schedule, but alas, next up is A&M Commerce.
