5 turnovers in first 4:30 of second half. We now have more TOs than UCLA.

Our only offense is Erica driving the lane.

RE: WBB at UCLA
6th turnover in quarter for Rice in just 5 minutes, and UCLA again coverts with a layup. This is really embarrassing.

Can't wait to see Mulkey play. She's really got her head in the game...even though she's on the bench. If her talent with the ball remotely matches her height and basketball sense...

I'm not sure if we had the big girls healthy it would make much of a difference either. We're just not athletic enough at the guard spots to handle athletic teams. Rainey looks like she's a step slower than pre-knee injury. Wiggins and Smith are going to have to be able to handle the ball against pressure. Maybe they can do it - but they're both young players so it's a tough task.

RE: WBB at UCLA
What's most disappointing about this is that this is what we struggled with at the end of last year. We've changed up the offense slightly but the results are the exact same. Way too many lost possessions.
Swayze is the only player on the team apart from Erica who has shown any aggression in her drives. She really should be seeing more than just spot minutes.

Although having some big players might help the rebounding I guess.

Geesh. Bruins with 3 consecutive offensive rebounds to score.

It seems like we're vertically challenged. They're not taller than us...just out jumping us.

We did do a full court press and forced a UCLA 10-second call. That should be more of a Rice defensive staple.

2 more offensive rebounds by the Bruins. Already 13 for the game, and they now have outrebounded us 27 - 19.

UCLA foul trouble keeping us in the game.

7 point lead for UCLA entering the 4th quarter. Honestly, UCLA isn't that great. I know they were an elite 8 team last year, but they're nowhere close to that level this season.
But maybe Rice will finally get it going in the 4th quarter.

3rd shot clock violation in first 10:30 of second half. Half court offense is an abomination.

Ugh, and that's the 4th foul on Erica after she picked up two quickies late in the 3Q.

17 offensive rebounds for the Bruins vs. 6 for us.

And yet another offensive rebound and bucket for the Bruins. Unbelievable.

RE: WBB at UCLA
We had a 3-point attempt to get it within 2. Close miss but it rimmed out. And then a chance to get it within 2 or 3 and a turnover.
Offensive rebounds killing us but at least Rice seems to be playing better in the 4th quarter.
