RE: A J
Given that he didn't play at all on Senior Night, and I didn't even see him with his helmet at any point, I guess he is.

Shoulder injury. I don’t know how bad, if it’s something that just needs time or surgery to repair.

RE: A J
i would've thought that they would have let him take the first snap and hand it off. the fact that he never sniffed the field leads me to believe that he's hurt pretty bad (just a guess, no inside info whatsoever)

RE: A J
I fully expected AJ to get the start, and he didn't. I tend to think that he was worse off then we knew as well.

Part of that first snap I would attribute to our complete duckup on the initial kick off.

Our return man picked up the ball that was bounding toward out of bounds and stepped out in the process. Thus awarding us the ball on the 2 yard line.

RE: A J
I think AJ is able to play, but in pain if he does. The reason I think that is that if he were unavailable, he would have already repaired the cuff damage (speculation) so he could play later this season or the bowl game.

RE: A J
Sucks for him and us because we could really use the AJ from last year: 16 TD but only 4 INT.

I like both our guys. They are tough and can win games but it would be fun to see a Mason Fine level QB running this offense.

That occurred to me last night. Good Lord, what would this team look like with Mason Fine on it?

Undefeated. Coach Clark and staff have done an incredible job getting the right players in the right spots but QB is the one I would say I've been a little disappointed in recruiting. We're just not quite as good there as our other skill positions IMO. This O has all the parts to be explosive except for one. AJ and TJ3 can and have won games but I wouldn't call either game changers. More like game managers.

Coach said postgame that he hopes to have him back by the end of the season. Likely out for A&M.

The same could have been (and was) said about Cody Clements. I wonder if it's just Clark's preference out of the position.

Maybe so. Not sure who recruited Clements but neither of our current QB's were recruited by the guy that's coaching them now and they spent almost 3 years with the previous OC/QBC. That's a big change. AJ's shoulder and TJ3's inexperience haven't helped but I don't think this season has gone very smoothly for Vincent either. It was telling to me that Clark went to Vincent directly before the OT and said, "We're running the football". I suspect there probably was something like "Quit ******* around!" thrown in there too.

Vincent has not done that great of a job, but he's done a little better than I expected him to do. At least we aren't 100th+ in offense like all of his South Alabama teams finished.

RE: A J
vegas is not releasing a line on our game due to the injury status for AJ according to Al.com. I would be interested to know how that line changes based on who plays QB.

Unless he gets back to full strength it looks like TJ3 is our best option over the next 3 weeks.

And I was kind of surprised that we didn't go 4 wide more to attempt to open up the run.

Then again, my simple non-football playing mind may be missing something.

Yup. No reason to panic over the last game. TJ3 is gonna get better, a lot better IMO. It's a tough break but it could end up paying big dividends down the road. We can win with TJ3 (obviously) and now we won't start next season with a totally inexperienced QB.

Not really the style of football we play. We play a Power Run offense out of the shotgun.
