Two more names I'm hearing for #GeorgiaTech job: #Temple coach Geoff Collins, a former GT assistant who several sources say is pushing for this one; and #UAB coach Bill Clark.
Haha I came here to post and you beat me to it, still havent heard his names from tech insiders though, Whisenhunt, Tony Elliot, Geoff Collins seem to be the most common and feasible names being thrown around. There are some who believe that Whisenhunt was a done deal before Johnson stepped down. As a fan of Gt and UAB, I would selfishy be ok with clark :)

Leave me alone or Ill get the Cullom Street Squirrel to find you
I didn't know that you were still lurking around these parts. Tell your GT folks to stay away from HCBC

Purdue made him the 9th highest paid coach in the country at $6m/yr. I think that between that and the turmoil in Loserville it was an easy choice for him.

Maybe. I doubt that anything has been signed. I bet Houston is highly PO'd that Charlotte let that get out before James Madison played their last game.
ECU sacked their coach today, and I'm not sure that isn't a better job than Charlotte. Houston might wind up there before this is over.

I believe this is his second retirement from that same program. He was lured back for a second go around in the same job. This time he will probably stay retired.

There will be more coverage on this within the state of Alabama than you can shake a stick at.

RE: Fired Coaches Thread
Green Bay Packers HC job now open.
Would this job interest the U of Mich coach?
Ohio State job now held by interim coach with Urban Meyer's exit.
