3 teams just ahead of UAB in others getting votes, Mich St,Auburn,Iowa all lose...also the 2 teams just behind UAB...Wisconsin, Oregon lose Go Blazers! And 4 teams between19-24 also lose

I figured if we won this game, we'd get the boost anyway, regardless of who did what ahead of us.

ESPN is going to want to hype the game a bit. We have a good story and are on a great run. Even better if we have our first top 25 since the return for this game.

I think there's a very good chance we'll be in the top25, but i dont think its that cut and dry.

Of the teams you mention, Mich St lost to Ohio State and Auburn lost to Georgia. Its possible that the voters dont punish either of them for that.
Iowa lost to Northwestern...the Hawkeyes will disappear, but its possible that voters push Northwestern above us.
Also note that Boise State beat #23 Fresno State, which could give them a nice boost
Of those lower ranked teams that lost, NC State is the only one that will obviously fall way down the rankings.

I'll take the wait and see approach. Never underestimate their ability to screw the little guy

I'm not one to be overly interested at this point with any top 25 rankings however it would be great at the end of the year.

Top 25 for UAB will give Fisher something to get his teams attention with this week. Be great for the program but might be better to keep A$M's mind on LSU. I'd love to wait a week on that ranking and be able to keep it awhile with an SEC win.

They deserve it but I will be surprised if they are ranked. And I won’t even be upset if they aren’t, because it is meaningless.

That’s just something people who aren’t ranked say to make themselves feel better.

Were #25 and my belief that it is meaningless hasn’t changed

Path to the Peach:

UAB wins next 3 games
AAC west wins their championship
MWC west wins their championship.

we may lose our last 4 games and still have a good season
on the positive side
first goal for this year if to win the bowl game
second goal is win the cusa championship
third goal is to have the cusa at home
fourth be the best non p5 team and play in january

I would rather win the CUSA championship than win the bowl game if you can’t do both. The conference championship is a bigger accomplishment than winning an extra game.

for me is progression ,,Win a bowl game
before that it was playng for the cusa championship check :)
