Football Snapping today
I noticed something today that looked off to me. The snaps seemed to be slow. They had an arc to them, and just weren’t traveling all that fast.

I’m watching Georgia v. Auburn, and their snaps are coming out like bullets.

Is that a thing, or is it my imagination?

The Governor of Tennessee is an Auburn grad, seems like an appropriate question.

Lol.

I was wondering that myself. Could it have been because of the cold for some reason? It was a slow Floater.

Maybe the ball was hard due to the cold and he was being extra careful with it. I did just see Georgia mess up a snap.

I noticed that when the subs were in. Was our starter in with the 2nd QB?

I was just calling it before the "never-SECers" chimed in.

RE: Football Snapping today
It was when the 2nd string OL was in and Dustin Woodard, who starts a guard (and is shorter than the rest), was doing the snapping. Isaac Ellis has been the 2nd string center but he is a true freshman and I think he has already played 4 games so they are protecting his redshirt.

Woodard will be a senior next year and they may move him to center. Manuel Orunna-Lopez (Juco who will be a senior next year) would take his place at guard. That would give us 3 seniors (Woodard, Lopez, & Dill) to go with an experienced Dylan Parham (who will be a RS Soph next year and has started every game this year) and Eze (4 star who will be RS Soph). Brian Thomas (Juco recruit) and Mikhail Hill will push for time.

I am not the expert but it seemed Scottie Dill was solid at RT when he came in for Roger Joseph who came out in 2nd quarter I think.

Good feedback. The lob snaps were only with the backups in the 4th quarter. And it was probably intentional. Less risk floating a snap that the qb can snatch out of the air, when the backups have not had as many game time reps together.
