Haven't lost back to back game to GS since 2002, checks calendar, damn.

I’ve been reading and posting since about 2013-2014, just a new username. I’m sure there are others lurking in the shadows.

I'm much more concerned with the 4 teams left that may be better than App. Looks like the whole conference got worked up over two ASUs for no good reason.

In his determination to pooh pooh all of the accomplishments of the team no matter what, he inadvertently walked into smack territory.

Just out of curiosity (and I'm not calling you out on it Saint), but why does this seem to be everyone's go-to argument? I believe there were several people saying something similar about GS fans "coming out of the woodwork" this year. I mean, first of all, we've been here for quite a while; just haven't had much good to talk about the last two years. And secondly, the point is irrelevant. When a team does well, it tends to create more excitement, and more people want to talk about it. Why is this perceived by some as a negative thing?

Maybe I just don't understand message boards.

Not sure why Saint confuses us with other fan bases. Even during the Tyson years, we still had a decent amount of activity, even compared to some that were winning.

Imagine a friend only showing up to the party when he has a good looking girlfriend. Come hang out and have fun, let us make fun of you when you're down. It makes the banter better.

I can't recall a worse loss to GS (at least since 2007) and I'm still here, eating my crow.

We're still here drinking keg beer! We're just quieter now and figuring out if we should sit on the couch or mingle because we like to party but we don't want to turn every thread into a story about ourselves. Still got the hot GF though 03-wink

You've been around a long time, as have I and several others. Since 2005, App has been on a great run. It reminds me a lot of our 15 year run '85-00. App alumni and donors came out of the trees and have done well increasing revenues and earning a national reputation as an excellent program. App has been fortunate to have just one coaching change during that time, which helps with consistency, while we've hired 3 guys who were total busts and have coaching turnover of 1, 3, 4, 2, 2 years and working with a first year coach again.

GS has always had a hard time with App, especially at 3333 ft. Some of your fans who showed up in 2005 on AGS and elsewhere are unaware or conveniently forget that App fans tore down the goalposts at Kidd Brewer to celebrate a regular season victory over GS.

The thing I'm most jealous of App is you don't have to compete with a UGA-type Football program in your state which keeps more of your alumni in Charlotte investing in your program.

I haven't been back to Boone since 2009 when I watched a horrible Hatcher GS get completely outclassed while freezing and being accosted by drunk hillbillies. Now that our games are always during the week, I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon. I hope App rebounds after Satterfield leaves because I think the days of someone like Moore sticking around for 20 years are gone.

It's good for both of us when both of us are good.

I'm on this board everyday, but rarely post messages...just like to read the opinions. If I fill like I have something relevant to say, I would. But, this was funny. I don't know how to plus up reputation, but I would for this comment.

We don't have a program like UGA, but do have 8 P5 programs within 3 1/2 hrs of Boone.

Going to try and get this discussion moved over here because I want to participate. If the mods don't want this thread bumped, well, I guess they can lock it and let the Troy-App thread continue to get derailed.

Sorry you're butthurt over falling off the conference map after your superbowl, but no doubt GS fans are jealous of App's success over the past decade or so.

I notice that GS fans get accused of "living in the past" and the line of how far back you can go in time without being accused of "living in the past" is always conveniently to make App look better.

BTW, since moving to the Sun Belt App is 1-2 when we don't have one of the all-time worst coaches in FBS ever.
