Congratulations. Today the Monarchs overcame a 28 point deficit and exposed glaring issues within the Mean Green program. ODU played with more heart and pride, and was by far the better team today.

RE: ODU Fans
That's a stand-up post, Joe, but I would not go so far as to say the Monarchs were by far the better team. We were the better team in the second half, but we were definitely the much worse team in the first half. A lot of our fans were gone by the time the second half started. Happy to say my wife and I were there to the final play.

It truly has been a strange season for the Monarchs. I remember telling you in preseason that I thought we could win this game. As the season progressed, that looked more and more unlikely. So here we are. We only have three wins, but all three have certainly been memorable.

Cheers!

Nice post Joe. Just getting settled in and checking forum out and what a bizarre team indeed. That event with the player ejection was an absolute game changer in energy. My 6 year old was really wanting to leave with the weather but I made him suck it up (and 2 hot chocolates for bribery) because there was a visibly different team on the field after that.

That suggests to me we might not have focus or strong team leadership. We play like VT ad everyone is hyper focused and dialed in but they lack the mental stamina unless they're is something to rally around.

Good luck in your bowl game NT, we will be rooting.

I dunno, but I will be hard pressed to leave any ODU game early ever.

Speaking of the ejection. I could not see what happened on ESPN3. It was a terrible broadcast and the feed was actually lost for most of the second half. But, if our North Texas player did spit on you WR, I want to apologize. That is absolutely not acceptable behavior from a North Texas gentleman, and I would hope our coaches will hold him accountable beyond just the ejection and suspension from the first half on Thursday.

RE: ODU Fans
None of us in stands could see what happened but Duhart is one of those guys you wouldn't expect that level of reaction but he went absolutely bonkers mad. Everyone in our section said get Duhart off the sidelines and I'm the locker room. We were all mad at him for the reaction. Like he snapped. Then they made the announcement and everyone was like oh ****. Well he might have been justified. But we obviously couldn't see that tske place.

Your dbs were absolutely getting after our 2 best receivers, as they should, and it was relatively chippy leading up to that. I just thought your backs were doing a good job of provoking and playing innocent to try and get between our guys ears and force penalties and it looked like they were doing a decent job but nothing looked to warrant the reaction we saw.
