this did not age well.

...and I bet you're perfectly fine with that. I know I would be if the situations were reversed
Good thing I'm not a betting man. Was not expecting NT to squander a 28-7 lead

I don't think they were playing very good teams. I still think UNT is good but the only team they've beat with a winning record is Incarnate Word an FCS team.

They did beat Arkansas, blew them out. I know that's a bad SEC team, but a bad SEC team is likely a good CUSA team.

Yup I think that was the game that surprised everyone and I agree. They (AR) would typically run through CUSA, but after that. Not too many tough games & even close games to UTEP. Regardless they're good but not nearly as good as some or their fans thought. 3-3 and maybe 3-4 in conference.

Nice Comeback ODU

UNT has lost the close games this year, last year UNT won the close games. Reversion to the mean

Another blown lead by UNT. Two of the losses, (UAB and ODU) UNT lead most of the game and lost the lead in the fourth.

Tech lead UNT the majority of the game and Tech was able to close out the win, but UNT mounted a comeback in the fourth before a block field goal sealing the win for Tech

There are only two teams in FBS who have held a double digit lead in every game they played this season: Alabama and North Texas.
That is telling, both in a good and in a bad way.
One team has what it takes to hold on, the other is much worse in the last 35 minutes than in the first 25.

I still think UNT will beat Smoke and Mirrors, One hit wonder FAU.

As we have seen this year FAU success last year was smoke and mirrors and UNT has lost the close games. I actually think UNT is better this year than last year.

Some on here predicted preseason that FAU and UNT would take step back this year

As is the difference in the overall record that resulted. One team has what it takes to hold on, the other keeps having trouble in the second half.

Second quarter against Tech, Tech score 20 - 0 UNT. Taking the lead in the second quarter

This conference Is crazy. One year a team is awful, then 2 years later they win the division. I think La Tech has been pretty good each year if I remember correctly.

I never want to play ODU in that small sold out stadium. Too much bad mojo.

ODU is actually preparing to spend $60 million on renovations and expansion of their stadium and facilities. I'm actually curious about visiting this place. I love the way fans sell the place out. If UAB had been allowed to build its on campus stadium, we'd be selling it out like ODU. But the Monarchs have progressive and supportive trustees. UAB is governed by trash.

Louisiana Tech is the only football program in C-USA to win at least 7 games in each of the past 5 years. While it is disappointing to not win the championship, we are the most consistent winner in the conference.

Your wish is granted. The stadium gets demolished in a couple weeks

Hard to believe but a week from today I think...
