RE: Marino
He had a slight problem with his ankle & they held him out because they could.

I would be surprised if he doesn't play tonight.

RE: Marino
They held him out the rest of UTSA as a precaution, but he should be fine to play tonight.

I don't believe Marino played last night. Might not have been dressed out.

Marino played but not much. Hopefully, he'll be better next week. Street was not in uniform again.

He played but was limited. We need him healthy for MTSU. I’d hold him out AM That game does nothing for us conference wise that is.

Yes, our bigger need is the MTSU game. We have to beat them in order to be able to play at home against either them or FIU I believe.

And while they are still searching for scenarios, La Tech cannot win the west.

Street hasn't played the last two weeks.

He's credited in the box score of the UTSA game for a tackle (presumably on an interception) but I don't remember ever seeing him. He doesn't show up in this week's box score.

Street wasn't in uniform in UTSA game. They picked the wrong No. 5 when crediting a tackle. Should have been Zac Williams.

Might be giving Street a redshirt this year? If that's possible since he transferred...anyone have any info?

Interesting.
Team A looking to beat a top 25 team to improve it’s possible bowl invite.
Team B not needing a win vs a non conference opponent, looking to rest it’s starters for more meaningful game that will follow.
Which team is A and which is B?

I think he's played too much - too many games. And being allowed to play immediately. I doubt he would be given a redshirt. But, doesn't hurt to try if he can't continue this year...

The A is UAB and team B is an escape of the not so big 12 :)

RE: Marino
I would expect GM to get reps this week. He's a legit NFL draft pick and if he's able to go even for 20 or so plays against SEC level linemen the coaches want to get him on film doing it. He's a leader out there on the field and in the first quarter last night you could tell he wasn't in much. I will say the adjustments our staff made in the second quarter and half time were simply incredible. It's been a long time since I've seen an FBS level team have negative yards in a quarter.

I don't have a clue about defenses or anything close to it but it seems that Clark has a very detailed knowledge of it that even other defensive coaches have. He also has to have a wide variety of knowledge of the offenses to be able to counter with the various defensive schemes.

What is really impressive though is that he & the defensive assistants have trained the players to know what to look for & how to adjust.
