Cylla showing some mid range there on back to back possessions, and we’re back within 12.
Some of you jump off a bus waaaaay before your scheduled stop sometimes.

Giving up 45 in a half isn’t embarrassing?

Honestly, him and Toews look quite similar comparing their freshman years so far (I know it’s still early for Toews).
Talley wasn’t senior year Talley as a freshman. He turned the ball over a bit too, shot a lot of threes too early in possessions, and tried to do too much at times. He matured and grew as a player by his senior year. Give this team some time y’all. So far, aside from Campbell, we’ve played two good teams that out match us. Let’s let this group get some time in the CAA before we abandon ship for the year. Geez.

We must be watching different games. How do you say “terrible showing” and “awful” but follow that up with “UNCG is really good and big.”
I agree. We shouldn’t be down by 16 at the half, but that’s what happens when we don’t have more legitimate scoring out of players not named Cacok.
Even though we’re down here, I’ve seen a lot of positives. The coach utilizing more zone, us breaking the press, and better ball movement. We’re still turning the ball over too much, but I think that’s going to be a problem all year. Like we rely on Cacok for offense, we also rely on a freshman for ball handling. Outside of him our players are careless with the ball and that’s nothing we haven’t seen over the last few years.
A lot to still improve, but I am seeing improvements.

No we’re watching the same game. 45-29 at half with 11 turnovers. Just stating the facts. That was an awful half and if you saw a lot of positive then you are wearing blinders. I just didn’t want to be the opposing fan base not acknowledging uncg is pretty damn good.
Second half starting much better.

Hardly jumping off a bus if we’re the ones watching this game in its entirety. I’ll be watching regardless. I’m telling you apathy is our worst enemy. Everyone here obviously cares.

Not saying anything bad about Toews. I miss having someone that could create their own shot like Talley. Trust me, I'm not abandoning ship

I get it. I never denied we still turn the ball over too much and our offense is largely non-existent outside of Cacok. However, y’all have to be able to see other aspects of the game that are positives as well.
With that. I’m done beating that horse.

You mean like holding them to 13 pts in the 2nd half so far to our 23?

I like Fornes attacking the rim and Cacok getting deep touches in the post. Fornes imo is our most balanced offensive weapon at guard. Hope his confidence continues to build.

Definitely a great comeback! Get within 3, and two consecutive possessions a wide open layup, and wide open 3.

Exactly. This isn’t the result of “apathy”.

Too much subbing. We get a momentum and here come the subs.

If they keep playing the way they started the 2nd half they’ll go back on a run. UNCG opened the back half cold, you had to know that wasn’t going to last all period. They’re a very quick, athletic team. IMO, most of their threes have been contested. They just get them off quick. They’re a very good team. There’s a reason they’re the preseason Big South favorites.

I thought the same thing. We were clicking on both ends then subs. Sims is a good player, but I’m not sure why coach sent him in when he did.

Something we really need work on defensively is switching. If we are going to play primarily man to man, we have to be better at switching. It seems like a lot of times we get beat in the paint and off the dribble are trying to fight around screens instead of switching.

Or we could just get blown out..... what a crazy run. We simply can't rely on this team to get a stop when needed
