ODU returns team MVP Morgan Maguire who threw two complete game shut-outs as well as starter Bryce Windham who hit .293 with a .405 OBP and outfielder Matt Schwartz who hit .335 with .456 slugging.

The commonwealth classic against Virginia Tech at Harbor Park will be on April 30 this year.

I've been as critical as anyone of JJ in recent years, but the season is hardly over. We'll have other opportunities as will improve. How much remains to be seen.

We lost to a good team on the road. We have more opportunities. It isn't over, but I am definitely disappointed with the scoring droughts. We won't win 20 games if that isn't fixed.

Why does ODU have so many early home games? It’s not Wisconsin or Maine but February and March in Norfolk is not home of ideal baseball weather.

This team isn’t making either tournament. We are at least a few years away from a tournament team.

5 of those games every year are vs. Rutgers and Princeton. Norfolk weather can be a crap shoot, but as a New Jerseyian who first visited ODU at an open house in March where it was 70 degrees outside, I'd much rather be down there.
