That's what I thought, too.

It should be banned from the list of Christmas ads simply because it isn't.

Man, this was really confusing to me. After a little digging:
- Iceland the UK Supermarket (who knew?!), not the country. Explains the Emma Thompson narration!
- Iceland negotiated a deal with Greenpeace to rebadge the animated short film, as part of their holiday ad campaign
- The ad was deemed to be in breach of rules banning political advertising in the UK's 2003 Communications Act. To think that some of our ideas on free speech came from England...

That is a great commercial.
Though the cynic in me would like to see successive versions that cover “Christmas Eve on the Front” for 1915, 1916, and 1917.

If truthful, they would be nothing like the 1914 version.
