Played like 1 minute in the first game and looked lost. I’m sure we will see him at some point this year. Murphy randomly gives guys chances throughout the season. Happened with McAdoo at the end of last season, and he looks pretty solid.

Yeah, he's looked good for both games but we'd be in serious trouble if he went down. Noticeable loss in fast breaks and steals w/o Tim B.
Hopefully Murphy comes up with an offense that doesn't rely so heavily on transition baskets.

'93 are you saying that having four guys stand around while Paul Jackson goes one on one is not an effective offense? If so I heartily agree. Can you remember the last time we got a foul for a moving screen or off ball offensive movement? I cannot because we almost never screen or move toward the basket without the ball.

Any clues as to whether that's an injury? Disciplinary? Something else?
Or a redshirt?

He is dressed but sits at the end of the bench and is remote from the huddles. If I were to guess, I would be betting on redshirt.

I will be going to my first basketball game on Sunday so I'll reserve judgement.

I'll make a few comments: ) We miss Tim Bond, 2) We miss Jordan Nobles, and 3) Looks like we are getting off to the historical slow start.

We're going to need Rafus to grow up quickly if we are going to contend for the MAC West!!

Buffalo beats #13 West Virginia in overtime. The Bulls had Huggins sweating buckets.

We already knew this, but we're in for a challenge with UB this year.

We always get off to slow starts. I know im mr. doom and gloom with the football team, but i think the basketball team will work it out and at very least win the division.

I agree, they will work it out to some extent, though not optimistic about to what extent.

Toure looks like a solid 7 footer and glad to have him on the team. But I do wonder if Thompson is the better defender at center. Moreso, as Sam keeps pointing out Thompson looks a bit slow as a forward- at least with this zone system. Regardless, this is the best way to line them up, as Thompson probably wants to show off his power forward skills for the NBA and Toure is too good a 7 footer to waste on a backup roll.

Not trying to criticize Murphy, he has done a good overall job. But since he is a system coach, he won’t be able to fully utilize the talent on his team.

Spot on, Luckey! Though I would add that the zone does not best suite the talent layout of this team.
