RE: Game Day: Drexel
Toure isn’t what I expected at all. Good footwork on the offensive end, looks to pass out of the post, and can finish. Really more skilled than I thought. Defensively, he looks a bit lost at times, and doesn’t recover well. I think he will get better in the middle of the zone, but he will need help from the wings. Makes it even more confusing to play him and Thompson together. Defensive nightmare.

PJ's the only one out there getting buckets. Ugly. Minnie's presence is helping, but (understandably) is having trouble getting going offensively.

Much better defensively with Minnie out there and only one of Thompson/Toure.

Still a mess offensively. Don’t know why we aren’t trying to run more.

We are playing decently defensively which is helping keep it close. Last season we were dreadful on defense. Our poor shooting has shown its flashes in this game.

Same story, different chapter. Letting teams back into the game when we start draining clock.

I am puzzled Murphy has not put together an offensive system in his 8th year.....

Finally we go inside again. They have no answer for Toure.

Best of luck the rest of the way. You have a scrappy bunch. I hope you surprise some people in the CAA.

RE: Game Day: Drexel
Much better defensive effort in the second half, and it’s peobably not a coincidence that Minnie played and the bigs weren’t on the court together too much. Drexel hit some contested threes to make it close, and PJ nearly dribbled us out of the game, but we got the stops and the buckets when we needed them. Toure is a stud.

Once Minnie and McAdoo get their feet under them, I think we will be fine.

Also still haven't seen Ellison either.

Any clues as to whether that's an injury? Disciplinary? Something else?

Likewise. CAA should be tough this year. We were picked at the bottom for a reason. We definitely showed some grit. We lost a lot of impact players from last year so it was a big unknown for this season. Definitely some promise. Will still be a long year, especially being so undersized, but we should be able to stay competitive.

Yeah, he's looked good for both games but we'd be in serious trouble if he went down. Noticeable loss in fast breaks and steals w/o Tim B.
Hopefully Murphy comes up with an offense that doesn't rely so heavily on transition baskets.

I saw the last ten minutes only. It's got to be frustrating being an EMU fan. Murphy recruits great talent, and then his teams underachieve.

What happened to Rafus?
