Tubberville is available now, maybe Tulsa should contact him. Could he be any worse?

I'm still extremely disappointed in our attendance this season. Perfect fall football weather, with clear sunny skies in the 40s. A game that makes Memphis "officially" bowl eligible. No excuses for such lackluster 27.9k attendance. Even Mayor Strickland was there by himself.

This coach and this team deserve better.

38 degrees at kick off. 41 at game end.

Fairweathers. Memphis fans are like my little dog that hates to get his little paws wet to use the bathroom outside after it rains.

Short answer: Yes.

Correct answer, no.

SEC championship, 7-3 against Bama, 4-3 against Saban, winning bowl record.

Tuberville went 85-40 on the Plains, including an SEC championship in 2004. His 7-3 record against Alabama included a record six-game winning streak from 2002-07.

He wouldnt come to Tulsa.

The thing is, I don't think Tubberville has the fire to coach like that anymore. And I'm not sure he could recruit to Tulsa's academic standards. Plus he was fired at his last 3 coaching jobs. The Auburn Tubberville is long gone.

Not to get off in the weeds too much, but what was the celebration penalty for? I didn't see anything out of the ordinary except for... Did I see a coach too far out on the field? I didn't see any gesturing to the crowd while in the endzone or anything like that.

Idk what that was yesterday, but I know last year Tulsa got one for literally half a high step into the endzone. They called back the TD and everything. So with these refs there's no telling what it was.
