This (your summary of what others are saying) doesn't even make logical sense... so of course it's ridiculous. You intentionally made it so.

People who vote illegally clearly think it will matter. That in and of itself is reason enough to stop it, because it is illegal and an ATTEMPT (however futile) to influence a free and fair election... and most importantly, under our jurisdiction and thus our ability to enforce.

The entire stated purpose of Russian influence (in the joint comment released) was not to change the outcome, but to undermine confidence in the system.

Acts like these clearly accomplish that goal, whether or not they actually change things

I'll agree that we don't know for sure now... but that's why they're called allegations.
