No doubt about, ESPN has destroyed the conference, and MAC leadership of course. It amazes me that despite the ineffective leadership, that the product continues to thrive on the field and court. Really a testament to coaches and players.
Hats off to the few hardly souls who attended the game last night. I remember those days. No cold like the cold of sitting on a metal bench in windy Huskie Stadium in November.
Great game, nice night having a big lead and not worrying about every inch of ground given up.
A very complete game by the Huskies. Good play calling too, of course with Harbison getting the ball it's not rocket science.

I’ve been a fan for 30+ years, but I’ll be honest. I live in the far western suburbs and it’s not a bad drive to DeKalb - 20 miles on Rt 38. But, I start work at 6:00 am, last nights game ended at 10:15-ish. After getting to my car and leaving, it’s damn near midnight when I tuck-in. Love the team, my in-laws are UT grads, would love to go to the game, but it’s not happening on a weeknight
What year was that? In 2012 the game was crowded and very loud. But I think both teams were undefeated in MAC and we were ranked and had Lynch. Students showed up for that game and it was freezing. I sat on the student side and we had to sit at the top. Great atmosphere and great victory (31-24).

While I can still look back and say I miss it, I've moved on from worrying about it. I still enjoy going. Maybe some day a bunch of stuff will change (cause it's not just 1 thing), timing/months/culture of live sports/TV options/student priorities/etc/etc/etc...but it no longer changes my experience. Actually makes it easier to get in and out of the game.

It was 2010
It was a blowout! At the end of the half Chandler Harnish scored on a 40+ yard run. The camera showed UT coach Tim Beckman — later infamous for his antics at the University of Illinois — yell "F*UCK!" Great great night, as was last night.

this is the killer, weeknights are always bad, add in the cold, and its brutal on attendance. My wife is telling me to stop getting season tickets since we can't go to at least half the games every year.

I'd be surprised if there was half of that last night. The west side had more than the east side, but crowded is not the word I would use to describe it.

ESPN listed the attendance at 5,887 (http://www.espn.com/college-football/gam.../401020777) as did a couple of other game summaries (including the game summary on the NIU Athletics site),but that could be based on the ESPN number. I don't know which is accurate.

lol - I was looking at the box score from 2012 game. You're right - it is showing 5,887. That is really sad.
