Marquette game will be very different. Look for both team to run a lot. Marquette has a great point guard and their success is largely dependent on him. Whether UB can contain him with their good perimeter defense will be key. Marquette doesn't have a great home court advantage in that they play in a huge pro arena. It isn't one of those packed houses with all the fans on top of you and easier to shoot in than a dome. Another national tv game too

Marquette though is going to be Tough. They're not going to have the Buffalo fans showing up in WI like they did at 'Cuse there in NY.

Lube is a scarce commodity after an intense all night session between Ohio and WMU a few weeks ago.

I might have missed some quotes other than the Syracuse newspaper but Boeheim seems to have difficulty in giving the other team any sort of props and always has. His quotes were focused on how bad (or not good) his team is and not that Buffalo is just a better team.

I did like what Oats had to say.

I went ahead and calculated the average KenPom rating for several conferences to see how the MAC stood up. The MAC is currently ahead of both the MVC and A10.

PAC 12 - 89.75
MAC - 139.25
A10 - 148.57
MVC - 158.2
CUSA - 184.5

Bulls are top 2 seed material right now, no doubt about that.

EMU fought hard tonight against a very good UC Irvine team. Seems like EMU plays Div 2 or Top 85. Tough to judge them to rest of the middle of the MAC right now. If they had the schedule of Toledo, I think they would be racking up wins too

Once you get past the top 3-4 teams it becomes extremely challenging to rank the rest. Pretty much everyone has had games they looked really well and others that made you scratch your head. You take Buffalo out of the equation and this might be the most balanced the MAC has ever been.

Easily. On a neutral court

Toledo played Detroit Mercy. Toledo won. By 44.

Perhaps it would be more likely accurate to say that if Toledo had EMU’s schedule we might have lost a couple more.

That came off wrong, yes that is probably a better way to put it. Forecasting EMU games is very difficult going forward just because they don't have a ton of games under their belt comparable to mid level MAC teams. I think their schedule heavy on Div 2 and upper level D1 opponents also makes it hard for them to get into any type of rhythm.

No, EMU is really bad this year in BBall. They've had good years (like when WMU+EMU played in tourney same time) -- but yes. Not great.

Makes no sense, either. Thompson took 2 shots in 30+ minutes? Minnie is shooting in the 30% range? I thought that with the addition of Toure they would have the best talent in the league with Minnie as a POY candidate. Instead they look very average? Coaching? Schedule? Bad play calling? Who knows?

CMU doing their classic 10 wins OOC then will probably go 6-12 in the MAC.

And for the degenerates who bet on Duquesne, they were getting +5. They had it in the bag with just a few seconds left. Then the block call and two technicals and Penn St. hits six straight free throws and wins by 6 to cover for the degenerates who bet on PSU. Talk about the bad beats!

This is classic.

He missed the shot ... best PSU could do is up 2 ... 5-seconds left plenty of time to tie or win.

No need for the rant. ... Even if he was right???? which is in the eye of the beholder.

Beating PSU at home might not get you in the NCAA Tournament ... but losing at home might keep you out!!!

Those 4 additional free throws also pushed the over/under on points over.
