It's almost as if the other team is also good and trying to win. It makes no sense.

It gets equally tiring when we get thumped in the post-season and other big games and the same, tired rationalizations are trotted out:

"At least we made it to the MACC, don't you know how many MAC teams wish they could do that?"

"It could be worse, remember when (insert era when NIU was horrible)?"

"Bowl games don't matter."

"OOC games don't matter."

"They were just the better team. We were the underdogs so you shouldn't have expected to win."

I think I've heard just about every excuse that pretty much restricts only regular season MAC games to be a metric for success and reason to celebrate. It gets really old.

What made me start posting again? Well, the team started winning again and this place becomes at least somewhat more bearable.

If Carey made it to the MACC each year, but lost every single time, would you still want him around? If not, how many MACC's does he need to drop before you would want him gone?

And most EMU fans think their injured QB is better than Wiegers (sp?). So we're going through a MASH unit MAC West. There are no Gradkowski's, Lefevours, Roethlisbergers, Nate Davis's, Woodside's, or even Shane Morris's to beat this year.

Yea, but Akron beat Northwestern with Nelson at QB the whole game. He was moving the ball pretty well against NIU until he got injured. He threw for basically 300 yards while playing less than 3 quarters.

I don't confuse parity with weakness. I equate losing almost every bowl game with weakness.

Wonder how much they like Hot Rod at Temple. He just lost 28-3 to then 1-6 ECU. ECU hasn't been good in football since before our previous AD went there. I think AAC schools might want to reconsider taking our ADs and coaches.

Carey has head coaching experience, which he gained from NIU. He's also making $2 million per season at Temple. He better perform better than he has or he won't be a head coach much longer.
