RE: Toledo at Northern Illinois game thread
Pretty pathetic display of football in DeKalb tonight... Sure am glad I did not waste time and $$$ to make the trip...
Carter Bradley should get the opportunity in the next few weeks. If not, it will really define our future with Peters being only a soph, and Mitch G having another year of elgibility... This team will only be average with those guys as our QB’s next year... There really needs to be a whole new mindset and sense of aggressiveness in this program if they want to become MAC elite again. I like NIU’s blue collar tough approach to their defense any day of the week over the lack of proper tackling/out of position defense that we see out there on most occasions.
Yeah, but we’ve got all that Florida speed that likes to run sideline to sideline, and sometimes backwards for all that yardage... And don’t forget our top rated classes... Give me a break !!
So it looks like a possible 6-6 season with the Flashes wanting to knock us off, being their bowl game/marquee win. It could happen !!
Feel bad for Cody Thompson, through all of this ....03-banghead

It was my first trip to DeKalb or I probably wouldn’t have went. One of coldest games I’ve attended and it sucks even more when your team is getting its ass kicked

DeKalb sucks, and it was pretty evident that Candle and Co. could not wait for that game to end, and get out of town...
No sense of pride in Rocket football at the moment !!

Yeah not a lot of love for Candle or the rest of the coaching staff right now. He has to decide if he wants to be a football coach or a players coach if he has any dreams of getting a P5 job

Score was not that close.

All those weeks of practice wasted on QBG and this is what we have. If I was a junior WR and I was graduating this year I would not return to this program for my last year.
