On a twitter feed someone posted a photo of Michael Jackson with Macaulay Culkin, when he was a young kid, and 2 other minors. I said that the photo was bad optics, nothing more. Had 50-60 people come at me calling me disgusting, loser, I am worse than MJ, get a life, etc. I only replied to a couple of them asking is it appropriate for a grown man to have minor children over for sleepovers in his bed? Which is factual, that happened. Crickets. This was a semi generic twitter feed, not a celeb or MJ feed, but I noticed a couple of the people who came after me the hardest had MJ dedicated Twitter feeds.

Yeah I don't get it either. My wife gets sad when celebrities break up and gets excited when they have babies. I'm like 'so what?'

I find any type of worshipping to be disturbing.

Some people need a life. Every now and then, I watch the early evening news on TV, and the TV stays on for one of those Hollywood expose shows that seem to be a dime a dozen. If I end up watching any of it, I'm like, "Who gives a rat's patootie?"

I’ll never figure out why people choose to follow and listen to people that seem to make a wreck of their lives on a regular basis. “Hey, this clown is a mess- I’ll follow and listen to them” - where’s that logic come from???

Ah, I guess they are just attracted to the “pretty people”............

Celebrity endorsements come under that. Who gives a flying trapeze what brand these idiot celebrities claim that they use. I buy what I want not what they want me to want.

Well given that most of them are wholly self absorbed, have limited real life experiences outside of acting, and are dumb as a damned rock, yes!

But it is understandable why the left relies upon it. There's an old line from the movie Gorky Park, "Women like screwing foreigners, because it makes them feel like they've traveled." Well the poor like being around celebrities because it makes them feel important. That doesn't work on the right where successful business people see them for what they are, self absorbed and stupid. So those who have just aren't impressed and that is one of many reasons Hollywood has long been supportive of the left.

My community is the fricking worst with this. We have a tendency to ship any cute guy with questionable sexual behaviors as a closet case. The most recent example of this is Shawn Mendes.

It's like dude... ...if he's gay he'll tell us.

I find it kinda creepy and unsettling.
