Since our colors are MIDNIGHT BLUE AND GOLD, why not actually use gold color in our helmets, pants, jerseys etc. ? Yellow is NOT gold. Those yellow helmets and jerseys last week were ugly.

Here are the "official" Toledo athletic colors. "Rocket Gold" isn't gold like Notre Dame.... it is actually more yellow.

Solid blue jerseys and pants and gold helmets with blue Rocket logo on helmets. Gold lettering on jerseys. That would be sweet.

Purdue had that chrome gold but it worked with the industrail nature to their colors and uniform. I can't see it with our version of blue. Maybe it would work but I like out colors as is, call it yellow, call it gold.

Gold helmet, white jersey, white pants is the official decision. It's the worst all white jersey combo IMO. But it's not total butt. It will contrast NIUs supposed black, red black well.

What most people don't know is that the official school colors for Michigan described as Maize and Blue is actually "Maize" as in the gold color for riped corn and "Azure Blue" to match the blue of a summer sky. The "blue" used by the athletic department branding is much darker - but is not the official school colors that were adopted back around 1860's. When I got my cap and gown for graduation, I thought they screwed up the colors. Then I looked it up - and the blue is actually much lighter than what everyone is used to seeing. That was 20 years ago when I graduated, and I do not believe their has been any change in the official "school" colors, even thought the athletic branding for the blue has been around for a long time.

Does anyone know if Midnight Blue and Gold are the "official" school colors for Toledo?

I tried to copy the Azure Blue and "Michigan" Blue here, but can't get it to work no matter what I do. Couldn't find a link that copied over and could be pasted here. Not sure what is going on. Wanted to show the color difference in the blues used by Michigan.

I like to think Michigan copied UT's colors, but I believe they have been using the darker blue for athletics for a long time. Not sure how many schools have different colors for the school colors vs. those used by the athletic teams. Don't think that lighter blue would have been worth nearly as much in marketing UM merchandise.

Probably the only time in history anyone has called a French soldier a badass. They do know a lot about white flags, though.
