Coach Hopson is a defensive coach, and their defense is very good and just behind ours statistically.

Very multiple offensively, play with two QBs. lots of pre-snap motion, lots of deep balls and screens, make you defend the whole field. Younger QB is more athletic but both are good throwers.

Says AJ Erdley will definitely play again for us. Won’t know his about his availability for USM until later in the week.

Garrett Marino rolled his ankle , could have played, but with the lead they decided to be cautious.

Talked about Tyler Johnston, about how good of a high school player he was, and how big a deal it was for us to get the Alabama HS player of the year to commit to us. That it has taken him time to rehab from a shoulder injury, but that he is healthy now and his arm is 100%.

The game vs the Aggies is going to be our biggest named opponent of the year, and this is the best UAB team in our history. This game will reverberate more than a bowl vs a MAC or SB team.

Our best QB should play the rest of the season, whoever it is.

The A&M game will be the 6pm ESPN2 nationally televised game next week.

Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but when he says so and so “helps my program”, or “helps my recruiting”, I can’t help but smile and get the feeling he’ll be here for awhile.

If you want to beat a team by 3 points, start AJ. If you want to beat them by 30, start Johnson. I just don't see us beating A&M with AJ. I see a double edged sword at QB. One can give you long drives (or possible 3 and outs) that give the defense rest. The other can score quick(or turn the ball over), which can turn a game into a shootout if the defense gets tired. We can win with both.

Also, I think the Hackney/Roddy team was our best. The coaching just sucked.

ive seen several stories saying this was an unusual year with so few top jobs being opened. that bodes well for clark staying. fingers crossed.
