UAB - Southern Miss Prediction Thread
I figured I would go ahead and get this one going.

I predict that AJ starts and we try to grind them down with a bunch of Counters with Brown as well as those nifty little screen passes to Pittman, Lee, and Wilson. It works okay, and we score a touchdown and 2 field goals in the first half.

I think we put in TJIII in the second half and sling a few (unsuccessful) deep balls to open them up a bit. Them having to respect the back door gives Spencer enough running room to eek out 2 more touchdowns.

Ubosi has a circus catch at some point, but also drops a big play ball.

Our defense looks great, but they exploit us a bit with the short range passes in the middle of the field like UTSA did for a little bit. We pick off their quarterback once, and go below our sack average since they are getting it out quick.

Attendance is a little bit better than disappointing, 23,500

Final Score
UAB 27
USM 17

This one will be big boy football. There will be the short catch and throw passes by USM to negate our rush and both teams will try to establish the line of scrimmage. It will come down to depth upfront and I like our chances there. Attendance 26,420.

RE: UAB - Southern Miss Prediction Thread
Our defense is better than their offense so i dont think they will drive the ball well but i think we give up a big play or two and they pick the freshman once to score about 17.

However, im not as confident that our offense is better than their defense. Erdely is limited and TJ3 has yet to throw the ball in a game against a solid, fast defense who will bait him into poor throws. If they stack the box and corral Spencer it will be a tough game. But Donnie Lee and Pittman break out and catch 2 TDs and Spencer runs in another. 52 yard field goal from Vogel to end the first half.

24 to 17 good guys.

Saturday high 55 and low of 34.

I heard several people in season ticket seating area complaining about the weather last game.

I could foresee wimpy fans staying home. Its gonna be cold by kickoff.

Careful, you'll hurt someone's feelings. Especially the wimpy ones. Its always too cold, too hot, bad neighborhood, old stadium, poor concessions, early start, late start, too sunny at the start, beer is too cold, beer is too hot, band doesn't play enough, Mike Raita is too loud, DJ sucks, Ray Watts is there, Ray wasn't there, parking nazi, Bama, Auburn, blah, blah, blah. 03-shhhh

Just posted my preview for the game. If we win the turnover battle and contain their quick screen/swing pass game, then I think we cover the spread easily.

If they can gash us on the outside and we lose the TO battle, then USM has a punchers chance.

You don’t have to rub it in 03-wink but if you can bring me a couple of hotdogs down to section 9 at half I’d appreciate it lol

The Blazer Club is not as expensive as I thought which is why I got 2 seats and I plan on keeping them when the new stadium is built. It was only an additional $600 per seat + the season ticket cost. Now the other section next to the Blazer Club is very expensive. I believe they are $10,000 per seat. I got into the Blazer Club because I know that those seats will be very limited in the new stadium and they will fill up fast. The price may go up but I now have first right of refusal.

The hot dogs are still nasty in the Blazer Club. But we do get "free" popcorn and soft drinks and bottled water. My son will eat one but I order cheese sticks, chicken fingers, and jack and cokes. We have a clean restroom but one of the sinks don't work and the wall urinals are right on top of each other without any partitions. I do like that I can place my food order and a woman will bring it to my seat. I just like to think that I am helping contribute to a player's scholarship.

The legion field dogs are an acquired taste. I eat one every every game when they bring them out, it's a halftime tradition.

I haven’t had one this season, but I might buy one Saturday.

I went to find one last Saturday night around the 4:00 mark of the 3rd. Every concession stand had closed. I was limited to beer, Ceasars, or Kurig hot choc.
