Travesty if Rick Stockstill is not Coach of the year. He has overcome so much to be in the running for a east title. The fact that he was able to father the starting quarterback makes it not even close. I'm not even sure Bill Clark is his real name. William..hello?

Clark's son does play for uab. Didn't have as good of an arm as Brent though.

Hope he's at UAB for many years to come. He showed a lot of class by staying while UAB worked through the BS termination of their FB program.

I was one of them. Bill Curry's direct quote was, "UAB already has a football team. I am the head coach for the University of Alabama System."

So we showed up for registration in the Rose Admin Building to claim our student tickets with our UAB IDs. They didn't give us any, even when we showed the nice lady the clipping with Curry's quote.

That extension center gibberish is as offensive as it is moronic. The Tuscaloosa Institute of Tractor Repair and Cosmetology has nothing to do with UAB's success in any field. Any supposed UAB fan who claims otherwise, isn't.

Southern Miss is the only CUSA program the local media can pick out of a police lineup, since they've played bammer many times. Some of them probably think USM is in the SEC.

Especially in the earlier years, the Southern Miss game would thus get more coverage locally than any other conference game (even in the earlier, stronger CUSA lineup) or the occasional Pee-Five visit to Legion Field.

Something to understand about bammers: it's not just that they're stupid, for this is well-known. They actually know very little about football, despite worshiping a dead Bear and a live Saban by flinging their children in front of their double-wides as attempted child sacrifices. So when UAB plays Southern Miss, who has played bammer, who was coached by bearbryant (always pronounced as one word), then suddenly, by the transitive property, we're legit.

Sorry04-cheers

Southern Miss beat UAB nine straight games when we joined C-USA. They were our daddy. Then we got over the hump, got a win, and are 6-1 against USM since. You may not think it's a rivalry game. We do. No one else in the conference I'd rather beat.

I guess that if we keep kicking your ass long enough it will become one for you too.
Hey! No one is saying "you haven't been kicking our azzzes lately" ...just saying you aren't a big rival...and that azzzz kicking shall pass one day too.04-cheers

You don't get to decide what other people (read: other USM fans) think is a rivalry.

Clark is a really solid FB coach and he stuck with UAB through the shutdown of the program - easily COY in CUSA this season
