Exclamation Syracuse fans
Just curious how many do y’all think will travel for the Liberty vs Syracuse game to start 2019? I’m not super familiar with yalls fan base.

We had close to 5000 yesterday at Wake Forest. I'll figure we'll have 2-3000 at Liberty

I'll be there with probably 5-10 people. Syracuse has a very good base in the mid-atlantic. Some folks might just opt for Maryland game the following week though which I will also be attending. Liberty is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah we are lol. I just expect that to be close to a sellout if y’all bring a few thousand. Just curious for yalls opinion.

I would expect 1-2 k Cuse fans. Mark is the road game guru though. I just think having back to back road games in the mid-atlantic region might mean some folks opt out of Liberty in favor of Maryland. There should be a decent group of Cuse fans from VA and NC though.

What is the tailgating scene like? Liberty is a dry campus, right? How does it work?

That number might be a little misleading. There are a lot of NY transplants in North Carolina.

True. I remember once before SU joined the ACC that SU played NC State at NC State and had close to 10,000 fans there. I knew that 10,000 SU fans did not travel down there from NY for a bb game. SU also played USF once and had about 8000 fans in the Sun Dome that only seats 10,000. Again, I knew all those SU fans didnt all travel to that game from NY. The one positive from having so many New Yorkers in the Sunbelt States is that when they watch SU play on tv, there are good viewing numbers outside of NYS that tv folks have to like.

They were wearing Orange and cheering for Cuse...how is that misleading? They might have traveled from Cary, Mooresville, Asheville and NY but they still traveled there. I drove up from Florida.

Liberty fans for the most part are nice and welcoming. Y’all are more than welcome on our board here or on our official board aseaofred. The campus is dry, also gorgeous FYI lol, but as long as you’re not belligerent and it’s in a solo cup you’ll be fine. Personally I would recommend a game at our place. It’s family friendly, a great atmosphere, one of the best student sections in college football and all around a good time. Hope to see a lot of y’all there. We should have a really good team next year for G5 level.
