Woof. I guess the good news is, we have 17k+ legit UAB fans, whereas 5 years ago, there were about 5k of us.

Yep...it's "Guess the Age of Our Seniors" Night. Fans get a choice between ages 25 and 35, and you get a bleedin' weenie if you correctly guess the age of the Senior's name given to you at the gate.

Is it true that included in these attendance figures are: players, coaches/staff/officials, tv-media personel, concession/custodial, athletic administrators etc.?

I think some include the team/event staff and some don't. USM did prior to our new AD, but not now.

Told this story before (I'm old and I like to repeat things ): Friend and I were talking to "Rolling" Dale (USM AD) in, I believe 1979, (yes, even I was young and right outta college then) and he said "well, we fooled all our enemies, I just turned our yearly attendance figures into the NCAA, and we averaged just over 20,000 a game".

My friend and I looked at each other and said "but if you add up our announced attendances, it was almost 24,000".

He just looked at us, smiled and said, "You don't say?"

UAB should have AARP night for the seniors, you are oldest team in college football. Lol!
