Sorry Ken...will be rooting for WF. Like to see another team get bowl eligible and Cuse and NC St are competing for bowl sites.

De nada - while I live in Raleigh, I'm not a fan of any one school. There were way too many of my wife's family I would have offended when we moved to her home state for me to pick only one local team to root for. I had to be Switzerland and stay neutral.

RE: 2018 Pick'em Contest, Week 11
ITT: The majority of people pick Mark Richt to lose in Atlanta (never happened) and Richt to lose to GT while in Miami (never happened). Miami has lost 3 in a row ... so any "revenge" motivation advantage for GT is out the window since the Canes are playing backed into a corner. Miami may have their woes at QB ... but both QBs are more than good enough passing to expose the horrendous GT secondary, which has been masked in its deficiencies the past few weeks by an abundance of turnover gifts and lesser opponents. I for one fully expect the return of Hyde. It's the GT way. Just good enough to give you hope (I see you're mostly on the line now) and just bad enough to crush that hope every time.

But who knows .... maybe with an entire year to think about it and no more Ted Roof GT will manage to defend 4th and 20+ this year.

I'm concerned about Wilkie01. It's not like him to skip a week, especially since he is in contention. He hasn't posted in over a week, and hasn't responded to my PM for a couple of days. Does anyone know how to reach him to find out if he's OK?

He's had some health issues, but the last time he went missing he had gone away with his kids when engaging in some actvities out of town.

I hope he has gone off to see his kids. We old guys don't type with our thumbs on cell phones to talk to message boards when we are away. There is a time to put aside all electronics and just chill with family. Besides it seems like a major regression to text when you learned to get 120/3 on a Pica set typewriter and then 140/4 on a keyboard.

WilkieO1 is A okay so I hope he's fine!

Besides, this week the winner may have 4 misses.

RE: 2018 Pick'em Contest, Week 11
Kudos to Week 11 winner ShannonPanther. His 11 correct picks nosed out Bigtexnole and JRsec who were right on 10. JR can thank Cal for upsetting USC late last night. He was the only one to get that game right, and that win knocked 7 players out of a tie for third (including the only player who has played every week without a single rep point to show for it).

Buckminster Fuller increased his lead to 4 wins with only two weeks to go. He could become the first repeat winner of the ACC Pick'em. He's not the only one with a chance to do that - in second place so far with 113 wins is CollegeCard who won it all in 2015.

Others with a chance (that's getting slimmer by the week) are Statefan (112), HokieMark (108), Bigtexnole (107), orange in VA (107) and Otacon (107).

Despite not playing this week, Wilkie01 holds on to his lead in the rep points contest as none of the top five in the standings added to their total this week. Wilkie has 12 rep points, followed by Buckminster Fuller (10), CollegeCard (9), Statefan (8) and esayem (8). Sneaking into contention is JRsec, whose second place finish this week gives him a chance to catch the leaders at 7 points.

I'll get next week's slate out later today, once starting times are announced. It's a tough week to find 15 good games. There won't be a weeknight game on the card this week. The only MACtion game of interest, Buffalo-Ohio, kicks off on Wednesday which is too early to give everyone time to get their picks in.
