I thought it was our 1994 team that just missed the mark on a bad day in Cleveland and ended up in the NIT.

The tourney was in Toledo back then.
I'll say the 97 team that got screwed by the NCAA and the NIT.

A very fine choice.
A 5 game losing streak in February did that team's at large chances in.
Knocked the #1 seed Bowling Green out in semifinals before losing to Miami in finals.
