Let's just win this next game and then worry about that stuff.

Gold cards are cheap, get you and yours into a lot of various sorts of games, and would boost funding relatively painlessly.

Does anyone seriously think that season tickets for football won't be an easier sell next year?

I agree, but I think the money issue has changed. We need to at least get him in the top 3 paid coaches for CUSA. If we are committed as a fan base to move up to AAC, it’s time for us to pony up.
Priorities
1. Increase our donations to athletics. We rank 9th in revenue from donations in CUSA
2. Get our football coaches paid and raise the money for the 3rd practice field. The new stadium will be natural, damn sure we need to practice on it.
3. Continue to revamp our facilities across the board
A. Football check
B. Soccer check
C. Track check
D. Volleyball check
Working
Field house for softball and baseball
Practice facility for basketball

Needs
Tennis facilities

4. Show our support in the stands and season tickets for all sports.

I continue to say this: we were competitive in CUSA against Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, tcu, etc.. with facilities that were subpar for middle schools in this state. Now we are on a level field (figuratively and literally) and we need to hold ourselves accountable for our production.
The next few years are important for our programs, not if but when the conference changes happen, we need to be ready. I know I’m going to tick some people off by saying this, but if we get the call, they aren’t asking about butts in the seat, they are asking about money in the bank.
Let’s be realalistic here, how’s our attendance with Memphis, cincy, Houston, UCF on schedule vs. UTSA, UTEP, Rice, etc on the field or on the court?

Just my two cents

A lot of valid and fair points made here. I'm hoping football will help drive us to get into the AAC.

Anything new about the AAC?

RE: Clark's Contract...
Last year they had already announced a raise and extension. Hopefully something is in the works?

His base this year is $985k and he's earned $90k in bonuses so far for total comp of $1.075M.

Heard somewhere from someone that something is in the works. Can we at least give him $1.5M base?

Keep in mind that the assistants' pay increase is just as important to Clark.

That is true. Hopefully we hear something really soon.
