Troy vs GS thread
Congratulations Troy. We came out strong and your team didn't fold kept you head in the game and won. Troy appeared to me to be the best all around Sun Belt team we've played so far this season.

Wanted to chime in and say how impressed I was with Troy's poise and talent. Proud of the turnaround for GS. Go win the conference for the East, Trojans.

Aren't you precious. Looks like your team put their whole season into one game.
After winning 7 games total in the last two years, I will very happily take 7-3 at this point. We are still not a great team yet. We still have a lot of work to do to get back to where we were before. This year has been a good first step and has exceeded most of our realistic fans' expectations. The nut jobs that call for "Access Bowl or Bust" every year are still around, but who really pays them any attention?
I didn't expect the ULM loss, but Troy was a game that I penciled in as a loss at the beginning of the season anyway. If we can pull together a win at Coastal that put's us at 8-3, and should quiet the fringe a little. Oh, and FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING THAT IS HOLY WE HAD BETTER CURB STOMP ga state!!!!! I can't take another year of that crap.

Y’all hire the Florida poll workers to count your attendance?
Yeah, I don't get it either... We've had two (maybe three) games at home this year where the announced attendance is a head scratcher.
And not in the same way that gag state has 15 people in the stands and calls it 15K.

RE: Troy vs GS thread
I was impressed with Voc Koenning's ability to shut down the option in the second half and put the game away. I'm not sure we're as good as APP, but scoring 32 unanswered points against what was at the time a conference contender, is a sign of good team. I was not impressed that GS didn't have enough grit to make it a better game. Offensive line vs out Defensive line was in my opinion the key to the game.
I'll say this. We have the best collection of receivers in the belt. Damion Willis and Luke Whittemore really put on a show in Paulson. When our best all around receiver in Deondre Douglas gets back this week from injury, we'll be unstoppable. Sidney Davis and Tre Eaford really make this group special. It's really surprising that we are as good as we are on offense after losing 5 key offensive playmakers from preseason to now.
I think APP is really good, but not the Top 15 team I thought they were earlier in the year. Troy has really come on as of late and the gap isn't as big as some (*cough cough* arkst fans) are saying. It's very possible that Troy is the better all around team at this point. We'll have to see.

Troy's control of the OFF and DEF Lines was the key to the game. We could not get anything going on offense (except the wheel route to Wesley Fields...) because we had no time. Too many three and outs put our defense under the gun and up tempo by Troy made it worse.
But as I said in an earlier post, I'll take 7-3 all day long and twice on Sunday compared to the last two years. We just have to get more consistent and have to get better on the OL.

Can’t be thinking ahead to Troy, need to take care of GSU, then the debate about who is better can begin.
