RE: Rank the AAC after week 10
Top of the Conference

1. UCF - Temple had allowed just 57 points total through their 4-0 start in AAC play. UCF put up 52, nearly doubling that figure in just one game.

2. Cincinnati - The Bearcats are out to prove that defense wins championships. Incredible turnaround so far for LF and incredible showing against Navy. That triple option offense doesn’t get shut out very many times.

3. Temple - The Owls already have a Top 25 win and they look better and better every week. They’re also really 7-2.

4. Houston - Still the best of the west, for now.

5. S. Florida - After Week 8, I said the Bulls may lose their last five games the way they’re playing. They’re 0-2 since I made that comment with upcoming games against Cincy, Temple, and UCF.

Fighting for Bowl Eligibility

6. SMU
7. Tulane
8. Memphis

Start Playing Underclassmen

9. Navy
10. Tulsa
11. ECU
12. UConn

I'm wondering the same thing.. Most posters have Temple around 3 or 4. Temple is not better than UCF or UC. Houston, USF, Temple for 3-5 can be debated.
How can you not say that temple is better than UC when they beat then head to head and have the same conference record? Seems to me that the home team would pretty much win each game in that series.

You answered your own question. Uc is better but the game was played at Temple. Most Uc fans also believe that temple did not get our best shot(spotting them ten points and 9 points of missed field goals) and only beat us in overtime. Uc also has a much better out of conference record.

I think I know what you were trying to say but 52 isn’t nearly double 57.

I rank by the whole seasons performance. For example Temple and Cincinnati, the Bearcats body of work is better. I do believe that Temple is trending up but hey they just lost, while Cincinnati won big. I believe that Temple will win its last 3 games but I don’t rank by prediction.

Body of work and not just AAC play.

If we're looking at just AAC play why don't we just look at the standings? These rankings would be similar to power ranking, no? Temple is 5-4 (read that as not yet bowl eligible). Yea they beat UC in overtime at their place. UC is 7-1 and just finished off Navy 42-0 in dominating fashion.

Cincinnati is 28 in S&P+, Temple is 42. Memphis and Houston are in between them.

They have the best win among the 2 teams as well... Maryland. And UC. I'm just saying as a UC fan I'm hard pressed to put them above Temple.

Also the worse loss. And not to keep taking the S&P+ as bible because it definitely has flaws but Ohio (6-3) is 57, Maryland (5-4) is 65. That Ohio win looks better every week. Temple's good. UC should be ranked in the top 25 or just outside.

And I feel the same as a Temple fan: the teams are so damn close right now as epitomized in our OT game. I’ve given the nod in these weekly rankings to the Bearcats based on their full seasons work.

UCF - looking for a complete game by the defense. Will need it down the stretch.
Cincinnati - looking pretty consistent.

Houston - split personality. Need to hire a shrink.
Temple - Temple rising
USF - no heart, no soul, no something?
SMU - no let up.
Memphis - doing their coggin it impersonation from time to time.
Tulane - looking like a different team from the beginning of the season.
Navy - one dimensional, teams learning how to play them
Tulsa - waiting for something. Don't know what.

ECU - waiting for next season
UConn - waiting for basketball.

Houston isn't split personality...they were missing Ed Oliver. Huge difference.

Because Temple has lost to FCS Villanova and quasi-FCS Buffalo. Temple has a nice team, but they are 5-4. Nothing to get excited about. Good luck vs. Houston.
