I'd think you have to start him again vs USM.

There were at least two: Parham played good D on one, and on the other a second UTSA guy just hammered his teammate as he was catching it.

On the flip side of that, Ubosi dropped a sure touchdown.

Ubosi is having a big year and had another good game today but as someone else pointed out last week, he's good (or bad) for one right-in-the-hands drop per game. Frustrating.

Grayson Cash is gonna be great player. He's already pretty darn good.

RE: Game Thread: UTSA edition
I don’t think UTSA is any good...but that was the most impressive performance I have ever seen from a UAB football team. We absolutely dominated every phase of the game. The only negative was the continued penalties. And we got to see what kind of team we could be with a passing game—which only made our rushing attack that much better.

That was fun. And as my wife said at the game halfway through the first half, I could get used to this.

Go Blazers!

I expect Erdley to start -- USM is not another UTSA. Both QBs may get a lot of PT in that kind of game. I just hope the 52-3 game does not get into their heads.

I don't know if Tyler gets the start next week or not. I do know he just made preparing for us a whole lot more complicated,

Clark said after the game they tailored the game plan around Tyler's strengths which tells me that AJ still has more of the playbook available. But dang TJ can flat throw a deep ball.

I saw those plays. The next question would be if those become turnovers, does he fall apart as a QB? Or become Brett Favre.

This is where the learning process begins. He'll go back and see that on video. The guy hasn't really taken any meaningful snaps in 3 years. What we saw tonight was just the beginning.

Only negative tonight was the attendance. It was the most comprehensive dismantling of a conference foe I’ve seen at legion field in a long time but only 17k and change were there to see it.

I didn't get to listen to much of the postgame on the radio, but evidently coach made a comment about it :/ We should get a better crowd for USM next week though.

Pretty sure Marino played, hurt his ankle, went in the tent and was in the next series.
He didn't play much in second half

16,605. Not good. Would have been better with a 2:30 kick.

I know folks hate hearing this. We need the casual fan. We were never going to get them tonight. I would of been in favor of an earlier kick time or even a Thursday game. Attendance would of been better. On the bright side I believe our core base has grown considerably. 17K just for us was solid.

There are at least two NFL starters younger than our freshman QB (Darnold and Rosen). That hopefully means more maturity than the typical freshman.

He throws a beautiful spiral, quick release, usually good accuracy. We already knew he was a tough runner.

Wonder if Lady Gaga will play him in the movie?

Yep, different game time and there would've been 22-25k. It is what it is. USM *should* be well attended.

He played first half (I saw someone wearing #2 playing DL that I assume was Marino) but injured his foot then sat out 2nd half.
