Who will Bowl?
Looking over the C-USA standings it is very clear we will not see 10 bowl eligible teams this season. Guess we won't have to trade away the Servpro Bowl for extra bowl spots.

As of today, these teams made the cut, or should.

UAB 7-1
North Texas 7-2
LA Tech 6-2
FIU 6-2
MT 6-3
Marshall 5-2

It looks like C-USA will not fill all of our bowl ties. I don't see any other of our teams with realistic paths to bowl games. Thoughts?

RE: Who will Bowl?
C-USA has 6 guaranteed bowl slots which we will almost certainly fill. C-USA has two secondary bowls which may or may not end up with a C-USA team.

http://conferenceusa.com/sports/2016/7/1...-html.aspx
Conference USA has secured guaranteed commitments for six bowl spots for the 2018 season, as well as maintaining two secondary agreements. The Bahamas, Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton, Hawai’i, New Mexico, and R+L Carriers New Orleans bowls are joined by a spot in either the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla (Tampa Bay) and Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowls as the primary agreements. The Frisco Bowl in Frisco, Texas and the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La., (should the ACC or SEC not be able to provide a bowl-eligible team) serve as secondary bowls.

Who will Bowl?
Charlotte, USM, and FAU all now have 4 wins with three games left on the schedule. You probably didn’t expect any of those three to win yesterday, but two of them did and all three looked good.

USM is 4-4 and probably will (re)schedule a twelfth game if they need one for bowl eligibility.

Not only is USM currently 4-4, but one of their remaining games is their annual guaranteed win against La Tech. USM will be bowling in December if we have anything to say about it.

Who will Bowl?
ESPN FPI gives FAU roughly a 90% Chance of winning 2 of last three (WKU, UNT, Char)
USM and Charlotte have tougher schedules but USM plays at UTEP and has that 12th TBD game in hand if they don’t upset UAB or LaTech and can hold serve at El Paso)

USM hasn't played the best team by far in C-USA yet though (UAB). They get to pay the piper next Saturday in Birmingham.

I'm not sure Marshall wins 2 more games to be honest. We might have to look in to scheduling a 12th game as well.

Yep. We are an absolute s---show right now. I think we will be very fortunate if we beat Charlotte this weekend after the way we looked offensively against USM. We have UTSA at home then at FIU to close the season. We "could" finish 8-3, but 6-5 is most likely. BUT, I wouldn't discount 5-6 with this offense.

Y'all will beat Charlotte. Just don't turn the ball over like we did. Would you get a bowl waiver if you finished 5-6?

Good question. I would think we would scramble like hell to find a 12th FBS game and failing that, apply for a waiver. Although I said I wouldn’t discount 5-6, I think 7-4/6-5 is pretty close to a Pick ‘Em.
