Exactly! Exactly! Exactly! We were THIS close (finger and thumb almost touching) to being that little notch below Boise State and TCU when he was given the job. We are now THAT far (go look at the moon) from being in that team picture any longer. I don’t care about developing a quarterback—-recruit one...That. Can. Play. Now. And you’re right—-stop sustaining. It’s a only a good spot if you want it to be.

Some may say my expectations are too high. I say their expectations are too low. Who’s ok with being mediocre and staying there? “Oh but we’re just NIU” they say......Meh.

Having expectations is fine. But tell me what they are based in? I've asked this over and over - WHY should NIU be a great G5? Looking for concrete, solid football reasons please. Recruiting potential, Campus, budget, Dekalb, ...something like that to explain why NIU should be better than Toledo or UCF or San Diego State.

Anyone...answer that please.

I finally settled on what I determine minimum success to be.

At least...
1 conference title
1 bowl win
1 P5 win

Per graduating class at NIU. With at least 2 in one of the categories.

To date....NIU’s senior class does not have a conference title or bowl win.
