I wonder if Tulane can actually beat UH in two weeks time. I think the SMU loss is what ultimately keeps us from the division title.

Tulane won in Houston as recently as 2014. And Fritz is 1-0 vs Applesauce. So of course Tulane can win.

Our defense allowed SMU to score 16 more points that your season avg, 14 more than your previous high against FBS schools, and we were down 17 with 30 seconds gone in the 2nd qtr. So...yeah. Props to your D, but Coach _'Onofrio played a role as well.

RE: ***Official Houston @ SMU GameThread***
This was the worst coached game I've seen. We have one of the most prolific passers in fbs and he only makes 10 attempt in the first half.

And when he did throw he put up points on the board only to take it away from him.

I agree that SMU played very well but this game was lost by Houston. I really suspect this game was thrown away intentionally or to try and prove a point.

This horrible coach not only put our NY6 bowl in jeopardy but also the whole AAC bid and about 25 million.

Something has to give.

I agree with this. Its even worse when you consider we are on lace to have the worst defense in UH history.

Bottom line we should've won this game... Probably one of the cricket performances I've seen from our offense in a while.

Our defensive scheme held your vaunted offense to 3 offensive touchdowns. That’s why you lost. You never led in the whole game. You “ should’ve won the game”? In which universe? Get over it.

it wasn't even your defensive scheme, calm down

the presser today our player/staff said smu hadn't run this defense all season, and it was closer to what Tulsa ran

you guys literally just copied the defense Tulsa used because they are the only team to slow us down (their head coach knows our offense back and forth)

I think 99% of all practical people will say Houston was the better team and should have won

purdue beat Ohio state in a not close game we can all agree Ohio state should have beat Purdue

Sometimes it's the defense and sometimes it's the offense. You give credit to where it's due. In this case the offense scored at will when it needed to and played like it always has ( passing). The loss on this game was the horrible play calling. SMU played really good but it wasn't the reason they won.

Yeah, actually. Or did you think those casinos paid for themselves?
