Congrats Owls, that was a true and complete kick ass in our stadium.

Game's over. In my mind, the difference tonight was FAU's OL controlled the line of scrimmage, which we didn't against Marshall, MTSU, and, at times, LaTech.

Wow nice win. Didn't expect that. Hope we can win 2 of 3 to get in a bowl. Might be a better opponent than last year even with the convoluted system

Jeckyl and Hyde. Been there, done that.

This totally flips FAU's season. You'll be favored in your 2 home games and if you can pound the ball down UNT's throat, you'll play spoiler. 7-5 Jeckyl and Hyde season would be a less-bitter pill for the offseason.

FIU will probably win the division unless Marshall beats them, and even then MTSU has to beat UAB.

I think we should be in the bowl game this year. I was expecting more. I was expecting the sort of play we got today in every game. But I did not expect so many coaching blunders, so many needless penalties and such weak play from the OL as we saw in most of the earlier games.

How's UNT's run defense?

I am thinking we should just be handing the ball off to Singletary/Whyte and telling them, "here's the ball, create something".

Thanks Lane. We got a little HOPE in the Boro, now. The next three weeks in CUSA East will at least be interesting.

Quote from Kiffin FIU presser: “I think we are realizing, like I have said before even though Driskel wasn't an NFL first round type of talent, the things he did with the offense were very valuable.”

Basically what I said preseason, FAU reverting after losing Driskel and Briles.

Just load the box and rush everyone like Tech did, that resulted in FAU having several negative rushing plays on key downs in the secind half

Comes all the way into an FAU thread after 49-14 win over the team leading the east just to talk about FAU reverting to losing.

Talking down about FAU must be your life force.

Congrats Owls, I have to feel like putting in on FIU like that has to feel good the way your season has gone so far.

I can't help but laugh at our misfortune, where at least one Marshall fan has been very openly rooting for MT to lose to give Marshall a shot at the title, then FAU destroys FIU, breathing life back into MT's division title hopes, only to see Marshall lose to USM, essentially putting the division race right back where it was.

This year's FAU IS the last year's FAU. Only the breaks did not fall our way like they did last season, coaching blunders caused a couple dozen points for the opposing teams and we could not stay injury free like we did last year. The one reasonable and expected regression was that our 2017 OL graduated and 2018 OL can not measure up. I did not expect how bad the difference would be.

PS Robison IS Driskel but with a higher ceiling. They may have been separated at birth.

Driskel was a much better game manager than Robison. Robison is very young though and will get better. De'Andre Johnson was a beast last night and he was the game changer for FAU. He needs to be the leader for the rest of the season.

Congrats to FAU on this lopsided win. Nothing pretty from our perspective. Need to regroup and put this loss behind us.

What is a "game manager"? It is nothing but a more experienced response to adversity. Their styles are pretty even, even their delivery is similar. Robison has way more talent, bigger arm, and better physical stats. But he has no OL that Driskel had.
