Wish Monarch Media would stop living in the stone age and broadcast the game for everyone to see.

Again, small time ODU thinking.

I'm looking to see two new giants dominating the paint, to go along with a multi-weapon back court that is ready to take and maintain control of play on both ends.

Time to release the hounds!

No disrespect intended to the “university”. I’ve lived here my whole life. Old habits die hard.

Interested to see the new bigs, the freshman, the growth of Quis and Xavier and how they integrate Kithcart into the rotation.

To be honest, our big guys are talented players. I wouldn't go into the season expecting them to dominate though. Maybe defensively.

RE: VWC@ODU
Received this press release today:
"THE TED CONSTANT CENTER INSTALLS
NEW EPHESUS ARENA PRO LED LIGHTING FOR 2018-2019 SEASON

November 1, 2018 (Norfolk, VA) – The Ted Constant Center, located at Old Dominion University and operated by Spectra Venue Management, will open the 2018 – 2019 season for ODU Monarch Basketball for the first time under Ephesus Arena Pro light-emitting diode (LED) lights. The new system will replace the original sport lights that were nearing the end of their useful life. This large project will improve the arena experience for players, fans, event audiences, and broadcasters. Participating in the Old Dominion University “Sustainable Campus” initiative, the Ted Constant Center has taken steps to decrease fossil fuels and save energy with the change to LED lights, becoming a more energy efficient facility.

“We are proud to announce that the Constant Center and Old Dominion University are ushering in a new era with this modern LED lighting system” says Todd Johnson, Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Services at Old Dominion University. “This cutting edge upgrade will allow us to lessen our footprint and provide many operational advantages to our facility managers.”

The new Ephesus Arena Pro LED lighting system is fully customizable with control systems that will allow operators to remotely update, adapt, change the color of and expand the system as their needs see fit. These innovative advanced lighting solutions create brighter, more vibrant and sustainable environments. Implementing these advanced options will only enhance the experience for audiences and add to the overall environment at the Constant Center. Not only is this project environmentally responsible, but it is also fiscally responsible. The Ephesus Arena Pro LED lights use less energy, which means that less fossil fuels will be burned in order to light the facility. The venue is invariably scheduled for events year round with sports, concerts, family shows, and trade shows.

The Ted Constant Center is a multi-million-dollar facility that opened its doors in 2002. Showcasing, at the time, state of the art lighting with over 86 metal halide fixtures containing 1000 watt bulbs. With today’s technologies and features available, the Ted Constant Center continues to strive to not only provide excellence in experience, but also sustainability. The new Ephesus Arena pro LED lighting is just the beginning for the Ted Constant Center and the future looks bright."

If you search YouTube for this lighting there are some exciting examples of this new system.

I still call the place in Newport News that steals all the students we used to get CNC. So yeah, old habits. :)

Hopefully they can dominate against D3 competition, but you do have a point for the rest of the year.

Pretty cool. Maybe next year we can get the 3D court projection equipment.

So we've decided there's no video option for this correct? Should still be on radio?
